Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Playa Dulce is not a beach I would recomend to anyone visiting Peru. No sand. Just large stones. The ocean used to in direct line from the sewage exit for the south of Lima in Chorrillos. But the fish market with it's over zealous restaurant workers can be a fun visit. Generally good fresh fish and reasonable prices if you know what yours looking for.

This is quite an interesting place to visit not only for the beach but also for the fresh fish market. I enjoyed watching the fishermen and their boats. It is also possible to eat right there in one of the makeshift cevicherias. Pelicans abound patrolling the waters.

Playa de aguas dulces is called so due to fresh water springs. It is long and wide sandy beach. No strong currents, so it is safe for children. On southern part there is artisan fish market where you can get freshest seafood dishes and sea related souvenirs. On top of the beach lays historical district of Chorrillos that offers great mid - high class restaurants. Dont miss to go up to cross to see the city of Lima from top.
Note: the beach is in need of responsible visitors. You may find at some seasons there is garbage. There is community that is looking forward to educate local population and recover the beauty of the beach. Bring consciousness with you ;)

Hi, I am curious about Playa Agua Dulce. Although I am not going to Lima for a beach vacation, it might be fun for one day- why not? But I don't know how to find out if there is an area to change/shower there and all those important details one should know before heading off. Had anyone been there ? I don't want to go with my family unless we all know what to expect.
Thank you!
