Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Remember to check back in time. Timetables can be found online when the tide is just high or when the vortex is greatest. My Recommended itinerary is as follows, first look at the Akashi Strait Bridge at Dancer Park, then take the bus at the high-speed Dancer Station to the high-speed Narumon Station, several buses can get to the sightseeing boat terminal, choose the big boat, first class, better. After watching it, go to Naruto Park and take the Whirlpool Way. The Whirlpool Way looks worse than the boat, and it's okay to miss it. But sightseeing boats have nothing to lose.

Only worth seeing when the whirpools are there so CHECK THIS schedule first.

The tide makes it best two times a day. The best time to watch it is around the time written there. Blue means the whirpool will not be as big as when in red.

If you miss the time when is biggest then you might not see it at all.

Naruto strait is quite famous in Tokushima and connects to mainland. Their are lot of whirlpools which occur naturally depending on the tides and timing during the day. So make your you check the time and tide before visit to experience the whirlpools in full effect. One can walk under the bridge and watch through glass windows and floor which looks really good. Kids get excited and enjoy so good if your visiting with young kids.

We had a 10 minute wait and then boarded a motor launch. This then took about 15 minutes to get to the whirlpools. We then spent about 10 minutes going back and forth through the whirlpools followed by another 15 minutes getting back to the ship's port. This was not quite as exciting as I had hoped but it was very pleasant.

We understand it was not a good day to find the whirpools but just had a try. We saw nothing... no luck.

This is a pretty area and the water flow at tide change as well as the spectacular Onaruto Bridge makes this place worth of a visit. Be sure to check time change times for the best water flow. The rush of water from the higher side to low is quite spectacular and does include whirlpools for which it is famous but the water flow at the ends over the rocks is equally spectacular as are boats passing through the channel.
