The most interesting and amusing fact about this ancient temple is that liquor is offered to the deity. You can see devotees carrying a basket of flowers etc along with their favorite brand. This is one of the major pilgrim sites in Ujjain.

THe visit to Mahakaleshwar is incomplete without going to Kal Bhairav. Easy approach, neat and well managed. It can get extremely crowded on certain occasions. When this happens, entering the sanctum may be very difficult. Best visited in off season.

You know why he is called Bholenath. Offer him anything and he would accept it as a prasad. You are allowed to offer Alcohol as prasad here.

Excellent Place. You can offer A wine/Whisky which available at stores near Temple. This is reality that Kal-bhairav drinks a wine/whisky and it is magical and natural. Must visit place. Arroung 5-7 Km From Mahakal Temple.

U don't have to perform any specific Pooja there.just go there and come back.but just make sure if u r going with older people or children then make sure to keep enough water with you as it would be very hot there.
