We approached the estate from the top of the ridge as part of a walk along the wine way. The views from the top are stunning. The main house is a beautiful building, the gardens are wonderful and there are several dining options. There is a very attractive modern building that houses the winery, shop, offices and restaurant. There are... More

An excellent concept for excursions through the wine cultivation and the grape processing for transmission of fruits into fantastic wines took the full attention of each of our team. We enjoyed the master of the guides, I believe. He was full of knowledge and wonderful feritales corelating to wine growers, wines and barrels. Every detail explained in this wonderful special... Dont know about the food since I didnt try it. However the Goldriesling, a grape variety proprietary to that area and the Riesling-Traminer are very very good. Dont Miss the view from the tower on the hill above the unteres.

This is not your ordinary commercial winery. Our visit included a tour of the vineyards, a lesson in the operation of a community vineyard, the life of a grapevine and the special grapes grown here. The tour guide, a staff member, was very knowledgeable and described each type of wine during the tasting. Our visit to the cellars included a... More

I arrived with my colleagues by coach for a visit to the estate which provides very adequate parking and is easily located from the road route via Radebeul. We were greeted with great courtesy, smiles and welcoming attitude and enjoyed a walk through the grounds to sample sparkling wine with a view of the estate. There is a pretty pavillion... More

Beautiful and great for those interested in wine; an easy excursion from the centre of Dresden. We visited just after 16:00 and as luck would have it, caught the sparkling wine tour at 17:00 which was great (11 euro per person). Free audio guides are available but as we speak a little German, the tour was fine without. The cafe... More

I have been to many wine estates many places in Europe before. And I had high expectations to Schloss Wackerbath after having read all the nice reviews. However, the guided tour was a real disappointment. We do not speak German, and the audio-guide we were given did not work. The guide did not speak a word English which is OK... More
