Having been traveling in tropical regions for 30 years, Raja Ampat has been a dream for a long time, but I have always been very apprehensive about the cost. This year I finally took the plunge during my 60 day trip around Eastern Indonesia. To...More

This was the most beautiful place I have ever been. It is expensive and exclusif but worth the money. There is no luxery and no noice, just beautiful sea, beaches and great snorkling and diving.

I spent 8 days on the Indo Siren out of Sorong. I've done over 1500 dives and this was possibly the best, ever. If you can find your way to Raja Ampat I highly recommend. I don't know anything about being shore based or the...More

We went to Raja on a liveaboard with Scuba Diversions. They specialise in off-the-chart and less-explored dive-sites for intermediate to experienced divers. We dived the more remote and inaccessible areas on the Panunee Yacht. The highlight was Magic Mountain- mantas a-plenty, but honestly, every site...More

We had a 7 night liveaboard on La Galigo. The diving was awesome, but probably on a par with PNG and the Soloman Islands. Healthy reefs, plenty of fish life, good viz. Love the warm water- wetsuits not needed. Disappointed with all the plastic in...More

Our party of three spent 11 glorious days (Feb/March) in Raja Ampat on the Aurora dive boat. The diving was spectacular - everything from a pigmy seahorse to manta rays. I can't say enough about the staff on the boat. We were absolutely spoiled. Fresh...More

We stayed at Raja Ampat Dive resort in March 2018. The price per night is in the $US250 range for spartan living conditions and repetitive food (chicken fish and rice make up most meals), but it's much lower if you book with a homestay (locals...More

We'd been wanting to dive in Raja Ampat for a long time and finally decided to take the plunge and splurge on a 2-week dive vacation. The diving is simply phenomenal--the biodiversity is incredible, and you can see so many things that are on many...More

There are possibilities to go snorkeling in Raj Ampat but like another person said already you may not see manta rays while snorkeling as these manta rays are mostly swimming around cleaning stations and this is a bit deeper.

in Raja Ampat has no special ship, if you want to use a boat for snorkeling can use local speed boat services at low prices, or if you want vip services can use the services of meridian adventure
