You can get classic photos of the pagoda in the foreground and Fuji in the background - the shots you've seen on posters and post-cards, but only if the weather is clear. The train ride is short from Kawaguchiko, but only make the journey on...More

We were here in March and found this iconic photo op Cureito pagoda. Best time to visit is March to view the cherry blossoms, Mt Fuji and vibrant red pagoda. It’s beautiful and majestic!

This is a place worth seeing. We arrived to Kawaguchi in a foggy day and Mt. Fuji was hidden, but still decided to go. The view of the pagoda, the city, the trees and everything is so beautiful. You have to be prepared to climb...More

This may be one of the most photographed views of Fujisan and definitely worth a visit. It's about a 15-25 minute walk of stairs to the viewpoint from the foot of the hill, depending on your fitness level.

We spent a lot of time debating on where to get some views of mt Fuji, and narrowed it down to hakone or fujiyoshida. I’m glad we opted for the latter when we came across chureito pagoda and the peaceful, serene views it offered us...More

We really enjoyed spending some time here. The walk up to the pagoda, while not strenuous, gave us a nice little workout. The views from the top are fantastic and the pagoda provides a nice place to reflect upon the lives that were lost due...More

Took a hike up the long stairs leading to the viewing area for Mt. Fuji. Though it was an arduous journey for me who don't exercise much, but the reward was nonetheless breathtaking. Aimed to get there before noon, and still managed to catch a...More

Short hike up with incredible views of Mt. Fuji (we were lucky with a clear day!). Unfortunately a few days too early for the cherry blossoms. Also, not a bad place to get engaged at either :)

I've been to Chureito Pagoda 2 times, and this place is always stunning me. Mt. Fuji and Pagoda are so incredible. If you strong enough, walk the stair. For me I take taxi ^^

It's almost a cliche - the picture of Fuji in the background, and the pagoda and cherry blossoms in the foreground. It's a short walk uphill, and the view is incredible (although I was super unlucky and fuji couldn't be seen due to clouds). But...More

One of the most spectacular views of both the pagoda and Mt Fuji together at the top of 400steps. Definitely a must-do in Kawaguchiko

It is pretty much impossible to detemine the fog condition until the day of your visit. From my previous visit in the morning (around 9am) I had to wait around 1 hour up in the mountain for the fog to clear to get a decent... More
