Not very much of interest in this museum. Wanted to see more Roman glass and was not interested in today's art glass.

The trip to Murano is a must when you visit Venice. A 25-30 minute ride on the Vaporetto (if you select the non-stop route) will deliver you at one of two stops on the island, usually the one where the glass factories concentrate. The Museo...More

I was rather disappointed by our visit to this museum. I guess I was expecting a little bit more than what we saw there. Sure, there were a number of exquisite pieces of glass over the centuries, but really, the information provided on the labels...More

Can't say enough good about this place. Plan for at least 2 hours. Facinating info about the history of glass, how it is made, different kinds, how it is shaped, and more. It is part of the Museum Pass.

The glasses display there are all masterpiece and state-of-the-art. They are all in excellent craftsmanship. The admission is not cheap but if you have purchased the museum pass, do not miss it.

The video explanations of the various types of glass making were excellent and very informative. The actual glass displayed was interesting as well, albeit limited. Small museum.

Thanks to the Venice Pass, we found the glass museum on Murano. I am very surprised to see the negative reviews, as we very much enjoyed our time there. Besides the historical pieces, there were also two exhibits of contemporary glass artists, as well as...More

We hoped to see lots of beautiful things made in Murano. Instead we saw just a few pieces of the old glass Browsing in Murano's glass stores was much more enjoyable. Definitely not worth its money and time.
