We are a glass factory founded in the 70s on Murano island, Venice. The company distinguishes itself for the high level of its production, above all chandeliers and sculptures, for the chromatic range of the pure and bright colors of its glassware, for the reckless attitude to experimentation. Simone Cenedese is nowadays one of the more requested and appreciated Murano Master glass maker.

We had seen the sculpture in the centre of Murano and had heard that Simone Cedenese's work included exceptional contemporary pieces. We stumbled across the shop front and saw that it was possible to ask for demonstrations. We were not disappointed. For the small fee we were given a private tour of the factory by one of the shop managers.... More

On our 1st day at Murano Island, my wife and I chanced upon a magnificent blue sculpture along the canal, as typical tourist we took some photos and continued exploring the island. While heading back to Murano ferry terminal, we realised that the sculptor Simone Cenedese, has an art gallery (shop 68) along the canal. It was ~6pm when we... More

My wife and i were taken by boat to a glass factory and the pieces were mainly traditional but the prices were over the top. we were then guilded through the back streets out into a place that we could catch the boat to burumo. We noticed simone shop and went in what a great shop very contemporary glass we... More

We came across Simone Cenedese on a walk back from other glass makers and would have completely missed their entrance if we'd come up the main street. The glass was absolutely beautiful, contemporary but stylish and the sales people we spoke to were really helpful but not in the least bit pushy. While most pieces were in the 100's to... More

We visited many of the different stores in Venice and on the island of Murano. Every time I asked why similar chandeliers were so differently priced, I found myself less and less trusting of what I was hearing. I simply wanted someone to explain to me why one was $1200 and a similar one was $1600. There probably was a... More

After visiting the Murano Glass Museum, we had an appreciation for the history and craft behind glass making. But we wanted to see modern works as well. We enjoyed admiring the different glassworks as we made our way over to Simone Cenedese Glass Factory. The works are colorfully vibrant and well made. It feels more like an exhibit, however, and... We visited quite a few shops and determined this one was the best of them all. The other were a bit tacky. Coming from a tourist destination you learn how to ignore the sales pressure and really see some impressive works of glass art. We even showed Massimilliano a new way to view his lighted works by turning off all... More

There is a brief glass blowing demonstration which is interesting (although not nearly as thorough as you can see in Corning NY USA) Then off to the show room which is impressive. However there will be a sales person who will follow you around and bug the crap out of you to buy something and the prices are ridiculous! If... More

Dear Mr William, I am very sorry to read your negative review about my glass blowing factory, especially among so many positive and enthusiastic opinions of our clients and visitors. It is also sad to see that you did not appreciate or understand all the hard work and efforts behind any single piece exposed in our showroom if you describe... More

We visited the showroom and the factory, absolutely amazing! Mr Massimiliano Bonini gave us a guided tour with a lot of explanation about how Murano glass artwork is made. The prices here are very reasonable, compared to other shops we visited. They will customize your order and ship worldwide. I recommend this factory, don't buy Murano glass until you have... More
