Bucay has exactly 7 very beautiful waterfalls and this makes it a very attractive place, to be honest I love to visit the beautiful tourist places that my beautiful Ecuador HAS, and for this reason last year I went with my cousins and friends to celebrate the beginning of our vacations, we had a great time for some things:
The first is that you can choose UNDER which of the seven waterfalls you want to take a bath and the price you have to pay is $2,00 per person and if you want a tourist guide you must PAY $1,50 additionalLLY TO the price of your ticket.
Second, you can find very delicious dishes of typical foods at reasonable prices WHICH RANGE from $ 3,50 to $ 5,00.
Finally if you want to TAKE a tour AROUND the waterfalls you can do it by Chivas and the price is $1, you can also do it by taxi but by my own experience I recommend you do it by Chivas because the taxi charges you $10 per couple and as you can see it is very expensive in addition by Chivas you enjoy your trip because you can listen to music, take pictures, dance, sing and so on.
In conclusion this place is amazing for those people who love being in touch with nature and breathing the pure air. I suggest you travel by public transportation if you would like to have an exciting trip, so you can go in chivas and you can take many photos to always remember that trip ..
If you love traveling "just do it"

Staying at Hosteria DFranco they set us up with a walk around the 7 waterfalls with Juan Perez. He picked us up at the hotel and we drove about 40 mins up into the mountain to start the walk. It was absolutely stunning scenery and he is a friendly guide. He offered us the option of canyoning down one of the falls which my 15 year old and his big brother did. He gave good instructions and they loved the experience although it was a first for them. The walk takes about an hour and is quite slippery along narrow tracks and pretty steep at times (it's not a stroll in the country!) Be prepared to get your shoes soaked when crossing the river!
The only thing I would have changed was the pace since we kind of did the route without leisurely stops to enjoy the scenery.
An extra bonus to this outing with Juan Perez is that after the falls route you get back in the vehicle and proceed briefly on to Trapiche a picturesque sugar cane plantation and have the experience of working the antique mill to extract the most delicious cane juice and a brief but interesting presentation by the owner.
(Juan Perez can be contacted through the Hosteria DFranco or Bucay Adventures.)

If you are nature lover there is no better place than Bucay, I love the weather it’s beautiful and the best way to enjoy with my family, you can be in contact with nature, I like to enjoy its waterfalls and the food that is delicious, especially I like to travel by train from Duran to Bucay to enjoy the tour. Bucay is part of the Sierra where you can observe the architecture of the houses, the design of the restaurants, its people and its culture, besides having places to enjoy extreme games it has swimming pool complexes where you can have fun with the small of the home. I recommend this place as a tourist point, you should stop to visit the waterfalls and enjoy its gastronomy, for a better experience is advisable to go with guides from the same place, the price is not that expensive and you will have a great time.

One place that I can recommend you for staying with family or friends is Bucay. Bucay is a canton of the province of Guayas, it is a small place but the people are friendly with the visitors, the food is cheap.
One traditional dish is the fritada, is very tasty, prepared with pork, beef, mote and others ingredients.
Besides in this canton there are many waterfall as the waterfall Piedra Blanca is one of the highest from here, the open has a cost of $2 to $3 dollars, the way is beautiful you can see the landscapes, hills, woods. The weather is fresh and the water in Piedra Blanca is cold but delicious and funny then you can eat foods in the open of site as: maduro lampreado, fritada, carnes asadas and others. If you like the sports also you can do climbing. Is very nice this site.

7 waterfalls is a very nice place located in Naranjal in Ecuador. I visited this place with my family last year. If you want to enjoy a moment of relaxation within nature, you should visit it. The road to each waterfall is rocky and narrow. I remember when I visited one of the waterfalls I saw divers launching and doing jumps and other stunts. It was a very nice experience because the weather and the water temperature was perfect and there is even a cave, to explore, the trouble is that the hard way back takes about two hours. But it is a place that worths to visit, I recommend this place for lovers of the challenges and nature. My advice is to wear comfortable clothes and shoes for the road.
