If you like looking around buildings that have been part of people's lives for hundreds of years, St Edmunds is well worth your time. The church includes a 12th century font and some stone work, fragments of a wall painting, a Victorian stain glass window which includes some medieval glass fragments, and the list of rectors starts with a 'Robert' in 1241. While the church was completed around 1450, it was restored in the late 1880s. In more recent years, some pews were moved to make room for a small community gathering space. Don't miss the etched graffiti near the front door dating around 1600, and the axe marks made by Cromwell's men in the door by the Chancellery.

St Edmund's serves the pretty village of Maids Moreton, it is a thriving church which mixes its history with the needs of today's parish people. It is well kept as a church and the grounds and cemetery are a delight to explore. You are made very welcome here, its worth a visit if in the area.
