We took a walk on the nature trail. Not diverse things to see but nice place to walk. You can also walk on the beautiful beach. $8 to park for the day!

An extensive nature reserve where you can get away from the pizzazz of the City, and literally be alone with your thoughts, and the turtles and tortoises which have made this their home. Lucky aren't they..?? Pack a picnic, it is well worth the trip through the Everglades to get here, and of course, there are interesting places to stop... More

Barefoot Beach itself was beautiful and quiet probably due to the lack of shops and/or restaurants on site. Pack a good lunch when you go. The highlight of that excursion was the Naturalist on duty at the park. Dick was full of information about the shells and vegetation found in Florida. He kept us interested and entertained with his presentation... More

$8 I'm sorry that's a scam... Multi Million dollar homes around and can't take the money from them who are ruining the natural habitat. Good beach but what's the $8 for? To help Jeb run in 2086 for president?

Spent the day here today. You can walk to Wiggins Pass where there are lots of shells. The beach is clean, water beautiful, and relaxing. I go to this beach all the time.

Excellent park. It costs $8 per day, or $50 per year. It is worth the money. You will need to drive through a gated community. No need to stop at the gate. just stay to the right and pass straight through. Once you get into the park, there are three parking area. The bathrooms are at the first lot. There... More

Beach was clean besides a few dead fish from a recent red tide event, but no trash and the like. Lots of seashells, families, and loads of fun for our 2.5 year old.
