In a world where rainforest disappears at the rate of an acre per second...., we bushwalking friends, some 30 of us, are so lucky to have such pristine wilderness on our doorstep. The Lamington Border Walk between O'Reilly's and Binna Burra is pure balm for the soul, except perhaps when it's pouring with rain, as it did yesterday, and armies... More

Did a 20km trekking and was so beautiful. Surrounded by green, you can see a lot of waterfalls and blue lobsters. Be prepared with walking shoes and food if you are gonna try one of the paths because can take up to 5 hours and you won't see much people on the woods.

We had a two day stay and had good walks and wildlife watching. Watch out for the road from Canungra to O'Reilly's. in can take 50 minutes to drive with hairpin bends and narrow roads.

What an amazing part of Qld/NSW border ranges. When you climb to Echo Point Lookout, you can truly appreciate what a vast and beautiful country this is. The views are for miles after a lengthy walk. The track is reasonably maintained. The waterfalls are divine and you can swim if you choose to although the temperature is a little Antarctic... More

5km trip which leaves you at a different car park to where you started and you either have to do the circuit again or walk back along the road. Clear track that winds back and forth across the hill and is quite steep in places with big drop offs. Lovely rainforest with lots of animals and birds. Caves are quite... More

Trails are varied in length and elevation change but all are doable for persons of average fitness. Trails are well marked and in deep shade for the most part. There are a few well maintained picnic areas, some with BBQs Nice way to spend an afternoon but parking is limited and the roadway is quite narrow in places for those... More

It is a 7 km walk on paths that are mostly well groomed. However if it is wet....and this is a rain forest...make sure you have hiking shoes. Sandals are just wrong for this walk. There are leeches and brushing against wet plants with bare skin will probably get you a few blood suckers. So shorts and sandals are not... More

I've been promoting a series of hikes in this national park over the summer. So far we've walked Morans Falls, Python Rock and Gwongoorool Pool tracks. It's been so beautiful everytime my group goes out there.....we always a fabulous experience. I've been taking couchsurfers so they're loving the beauty of our Australian rainforest. Logistically - you need a car as... More

About 45 kms from Surfers Paradise, drive up in the mountains to O'Reilly's. Fabuluous bush walks in the rainforest with different time length of tourist paths, well signed routes. Amazing tropical flora and fauna, do not miss it, when visiting the Gold Coast!

Access either via Binna Burra or O'Reillys - in summer the creek walks - West Canungra creek circuit, coomera circuit, tooloona circuit and albert river circuit are great days to spend out enjoying the wildlife, views, and wild creeks with hidden swimming pools to cool off it it gets too hot. Never disappointed.
