We came across the statue of Alice Nutter on one of our walks recently. We had read about her on several leaflets so knew of her already. The statue brought to life the witches of Pendle for us.

Lovely statue, relating to the Pendle Witch Trials. Situated in the lovely village of Roughlee and close to the Witch trails which take in some wonderful walking and scenery. Nice that the locals often put a posie of flowers in her hands

My mum was brought up in Roughlee . She attended the school there. She told me many tales about the Pendle Witches. Seeing the statue of Alice, brings all her stories to light. Wonderful 😀 Thank you to whoever thought up this idea x
