    Best campsite in Hereford
Absolutely love coming to this campsite. Have been coming for many years and return 4 or 5 times a year. The facilities are immaculate and the staff can’t do enough to help. We had car trouble and one of the staff members took us to town to get the parts required. Definitely recommend. The staff are the friendliest and most helpful we’ve met .5 star campsite and 5 star staff.

Clean camp site with river access and lovely onsite restaurant.
Lucksall is an immaculately kept site on the banks of the river wye. Facilities are plentiful and spotless. Lovely location to explore nearby towns. River access on site allows you to muck about on the river and relax. But…there are so many rules and signs telling you the rules. They are everywhere… and they are quite shouty which is in contrast to the staff who are all really friendly and helpful. Streamline the signs and this place takes on another level of relaxation. The Riverside Bar and Eatery is a lovely restaurant on site and we had a lovely meal there overlooking the river.

    A very nice park
This is a lovely park right next to the river Wye. Two issues prevented a 5/5 score. 1- the old fashioned shower and toilet block by reception. Cold environment, curtains that don’t stop water spray, no bench or chair or enough hooks to put clothes on, and far too short a water burst to shower in without hold button in, on a good note the water was lovely and warm. 2- the attitude of the manageress in the restaurant. Met her for the first time on our first night. She was lovely. Our meal was great too. We decided to have a breakfast. That was not so good. Very slow service ( 45mins from order to food and then only because we asked). The food was o recooked, toast stone cold, fried eggs not at all runny, bacon had clearly been standing getting cold. The veggie sausage almost burnt, toast stone cold, fried egg over done. We decided to send the meat (full) breakfast back and declined a replacement having already been there an hour at this point. The waiter was polite and professional. Then the manageress came to our table hand on hips, demanding to know what was wrong with the breakfast. We explained our perspective. Her customer service was to tell us we were not welcome to eat in the restaurant again! I don’t think I have ever come across such belligerence in a restaurant manager. I was the veggie and ejected to eat my breakfast because it was edible. It was not good. There are plentiful nearby venues that do reliably excellent breakfasts in Hereford. The Moon I expect and The Nest towards ledbury is excellent. But for the manageress the park would have had 4/5. I can live with old fashioned showers in an excellently run park with great staff.

    Relaxing, beautiful site
Absolutely beautiful site, really well looked after in a stunning location next to the river Wye. Bar/restaurant was great with brilliant service. Helen was so lovely to our children, they kept asking to go back to see her! Great pub garden and riverside seating. The children loved collecting fish from the pontoons in the evening and dipping their toes into the river. The site was so quiet at night although busy. Pitches are huge. Canoe/paddle board hire is on-site, you can do full/half day trips or paddle about sessions just along the site. Clean facilities. This was our first stay and we will definitely be back!

    Excellent.
What a lovely caravan site, it was nearly full when we were there, but still nice and quiet. Situated alongside the River Wye, with access for canoes or paddle boards. We also had a lovely meal in the on site restaurant too, plus it is dog friendly. Looking forward to our next stay.

Very nice campsite, with spacious pitches and right next to the river Wye. Toilet and shower facilities spotlessly clean. Bar/restaurant on site which was great. Would definitely consider this site if visiting this area in the future.

Carefully manicured park but not really worth the money. £41/night we were charged for March - but the restaurant and bar closed at 3pm and the on site shop was woefully under stocked with only the bare essentials - with the excuse ‘it’s the low season’, but still far more expensive than all the other sites on our trip. Showers and toilets were clean but insufficiently heated for the time of year. Some of the turns on the park are a bit tight for longer motorhomes. We wouldn’t go back.

Lucksall park is in a picturesque setting on the River Wye, the staff were friendly and helpful, well stocked shop on site, bus stops right outside the site entrance, food very good in the restaurant/bar. These were the good points.
The not so good points were the nightly rates weren't reduced when the site facilities lessened, i.e. the restaurant opening days were only 2 or 3 days over the weekend so anyone still around on week days would have to find somewhere else to eat out. Some of the seasonal pitch people treated it like they owned the site, some who were fishing were regularly hogging the fishing pegs. The fishing pegs were not well maintained, one of the wooden handrails was completely broken, the steps not cut out properly making it dangerously slippery with the wet weather conditions to get down to the river frontage. Shame the site doesnt own the rights to river frontage directly on the site side as you need to drive into town to obtain tickets from the tackle shop. Not always possible to fish when weather/river conditions not great so if you buy ticket for consecutive days fishing you could end up wasting money if not able to fish. Maybe the bailiff could have sold tickets on the riverbank when checking on the anglers. Difficult on some pitches to avoid catching the edge of the grass area with vehicle's tyres, so get a bit of a look if you accidentally do so.
Overall a good experience but could have been so much better with a few adjustments. Probably wont stay on this site again if visiting the area.

The site itself is very good. Clean, pretty and huge pitches.
The Riverside bar and restaurant on site ( but separate business), was very good. Excellent food and the staff were all so very kind and friendly.
My 3 star review is because from the moment we turned up we found the reception/shop staff to be the most unfriendly miserable ladies we have ever met on a campsite/ caravan park.

Lovely site.
Staff helpful via email and on phone on booking.
We booked super pitch. Has everything Inc your own elsan point.
Lovely long pitch .
Only problem we had we were right under end trees. Nuts etc kept dropping on the van :-)
Large campsite lots of room.
Dog walk area and plenty of bins.
Can go into the woods opposite. Carefully across the road.
Up into woods. Keep left along the side of the little petting zoo. Half hour walk to end of woods.
Turn right into bridal walk. Up a slight hill to you get to top. Across fields and orchard and dragon trail. Brings you right near moon Inn. Great drinks and food. Dog friendly.
We never chanced the walk along river to the pub the other way.
Info etc at campsite good.
Bus right on the road in to go to Hereford.
£1.00 a day for doggy (so it can be used all day for dog) . 3.50 single adult .
We booked taxi home hi town taxi
16.00 from bus station to campsite. Inc dog
Much quicker then bus.
Toilet blocks lovely and clean.nice hot showers.
Pub/cafe of site great food . Recommended to book or check tines. As it was last orders on food 1 night really early on.
We stopped most night for a drink outside and watched the ducks
Only thing l say is there a dim light on your plot by your electric box etc but no light on path way etc. It's dark . So take a torch /mobile phone with torch .
Family friendly play area etc. A number of static vans with regular residents.
Dogs on leads at all times.
Plenty of rabbits, squirrel duck and pigeons around
Also as its such a beautiful large site why not put a adult only section.
I am a family person but now we retired l like to sleep later then 7am when on holiday.
Sadly lots of children running around screaming and shouting razzing around on bikes next to the unit
Hence why Recommend option for adult only or quite area. As am sure we were in n party street at one point of stay.

Other site offer it just an idea.

I will return and recommend .
As such a great site.
Please no negative replies. I am entitled to tell my experience. Its a honest experience and l like others to read my opinion.
I do like site it's convenient and wonderful facilities.
Thank you see you soon
