Making really great whisky in England is paramount to what we stand for here at St. George’s. St.George's Distillery, home to the English Whisky Co. became operational in November 2006 producing its first spirit soon after. We now have some very fine single malt whisky for sale. The Distillery is open daily throughout the year (with the exception of Christmas day, Boxing day, New Year's day), running regular tours of the working part of the distillery. We have a coffee shop and gift shop.

Interesting A11 stop-over.

A little gem tucked away in Norfolk just off the A11 between Attleborough and Thetford. Englands only Whiskey distillery is a very interesting tour (and tasting).

Since my Daughter and her boyfriend moved to Australia in 2015 they have really got into drinking whiskey. As they came home for Christmas I decided to take them to this distillery as a treat and I wasn't disappointed. All members of staff were very friendly and helpful. We had the carvery tour and my son in law totally enjoyed... More

We travel the A11 frequently and have seen the signs for this distillery since it opened but never stopped there until today. We did not have time to take a tour and in any event the tours appeared to be fully booked. We ordered coffee and cake (great value at £3.50 for both) which was very good and also purchased... More

A fantastic place and a fantastic product, spoilt only by the unhelpful, bordering on rude chap behind the counter. I would recommend a visit for any whisky lover, with a great selection of whisky. We were going to try the tour, but were put off by the attitude of the staff member. I think we spent over £200 in the... More

We decided to visit when we were in the area.--------- Easy to find, well signposted and adequate parking and a pub next door.........And next door to that a wondrous shop with everything involving whiskey from barbecue sauce through fudge to varieties of the bottles stuff. ----- We have seen round a distillery at other times so I have majored on... Looking for something to entertain my partners dad we found a leaflet at the caravan park we was staying at. Knowing he likes whiskey we decided this would be a lovely day out. Know I might add he is the only one that like whiskey but who doesn't like a good tour. So on arriving we locked the car and... More

What a pleasant surprise this was. We booked a tour at this friendly distillery and had a wonderful interesting and educational tour of the distillery. Its fascinating low key good value with a tasting at the end. I willingly bought a bottle which im enjoying. Its reasonobly priced and theres no pressure...but you will buy! Id call in again if... We had a family afternoon out at this wonderful venue. We started our tour with coffee and cakes and then went on to find out all about the distilling process from our very knowledgeable tour guide. We viewed the process and the stores, ending up in the tasting room, to taste far more that just whisky (don't get stuck with... More

We were visiting various places in Suffolk including a vineyard when we found this distillery in a tourist leaflet & my wife showed me it & suggested we have a look on our way back home so we did. I am not a whisky expert or a connoisseur but I do like various Jura whiskeys which are my favourite, I've... More
