Truly wonderful

The garden was everything we had hoped for. It was lovely to stroll around and enjoy the views. We took lots and lots of pictures. It is a stunning place.

The beautiful moated house and garden are special enough but the plant fair enabled me to buy a few rare and specialist plants which I was delighted about. It was friendly, good value, accessible and well organised.

We went to the charity open day where they had lots of stalls selling plants etc. Beautiful gardens, obviously a top garden designer, surround the magnificent house with moat. Lucky to get to see the last open day of this year.

This is a very nice gardens, plenty of places to sit and look at the gardens and plants. The walk through the gardens gave us plenty of ideas for planting and we would like to return earlier in the year to see the gardens in Spring. We also enjoyed seeing the deer in the park getting cuttings etc from the... More

The gardens aren't huge but beautiful and well kept. The hall is set within a deer park and is secluded and well kept. There is a nice tea room that serves proper tea in a pot.

Traveling around England we forgot to discover some nice places in the county that we actually live in. And I must to admit it's a beautiful like in Alice wonderland definitely recommended!

Although our visit was in September, there was still a lot of colour in this garden, Beautiful herbaceous borders, a parterre and knot garden, and lots more. A handsome moated house(private) situated in a deer park. Would certainly revisit if in the area again.

Although the Hall is not open to the public the gardens are well worth a visit. Architecturally the moated house is very interesting and it is flanked by a host of different garden features and styles, with, in some instances, a distinctly ‘Tudor’ feel. There is more than enough here to engage the enthusiastic gardener (or garden visitor) for several... More

We visited on a gorgeous hot sunny day; it was late summer so some planting was past its best but this did not distract from the overall delight of this place. The gardens are well set out with a mix of kitchen and ornamental beds as well as the surrounding open park land which gave a great sense of space... More

Helmingham Hall has beautiful gardens, but it's a great shame the house is not open. Worth a visit though in the Summer when the flower beds a well out.
