We have just returned from the wine makers’ tour. We have visited many vineyards in the past and have to say that this was the best tour we have ever had. Peter the owner was the perfect guide, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and unassuming, ably assisted by the charming Olivia and Greg the winemaker (Sorry if I’ve got his name wrong!) The wines are delicious and reasonably priced. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Went to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday with the picnic purcahsed from the vineyard for 11 people.
Firstly, was disappointed that on arrival you are simply all handed a bag with the picnic. There was no explanation of the wines or information given. After ordering 3 bottles of sparkling wine we were then told that they have no wine buckets or coolers, which for a vineyard only really sells white wine isn't great, so we had to keep going back to get the wine from the reception area
No table was laid out so you had to wander off and find a spare table. We expected with 11 people and a reserved timed picnic to have an allocated table set up.
On finding a sheltered covered area, halfway through the picnic we were then very abruptly told to move as they had a party coming in. There were no reserved signs up so we then had to pack up the picnic and head out to the heat of the day on one of the hottest days of the year.
Normally all our party would have made multiple purchases of wine, but all felt that the abrupt manner we were treated made us feel we did not want to give them further business
Finally one of our party went back to pick up his car and take us home (we had planned to spend all afternoon There but decided to leave) it was sweltering hot and one of the elederly members of our party rested in the covered area whilst they were clearing the area, only again to be told that we could not stay there as they had another party coming in. It was clear we were not drinking and just waiting and felt that there was no need for the abruptness
Naturally we won't be returning or recommending this vineyard

I loved the place, but hard to find. Great wine but absolutely horrid burger. Surely you could season the meat, make great tasting ketchup, and if not there are some great ketchups that come in a bottle. A bit of pickle? Toast the bun?

Spent a lazy couple of hours wine tasting in a quiet, laid-back setting; sat upstairs on the windmill balcony with views of the beautiful vineyard and surrounding countryside. Interesting self-guided tour and very helpful staff. Planning the visit we thought we'd buy a couple of bottles but came away with a couple of cases!

We spent a very enjoyable afternoon at Nutbourne. The vineyard and surrounding countryside are beautiful. The self directed tour around the vineyard was great with lots of interesting info provided about vines and the wine making process. I would highly recommend the picnic (with Bacchus) which was delicious and filled with fresh produce. All the people who worked there were friendly and knowledgeable. We look forward to returning.

What a lovely find. Pitch up to try some wines (for a great price by the glass) and learn a lot about their beautiful vineyard. Sip away from the balcony of their windmill or on a comfy sofa inside.
Perfect when you combine with a walk around the vineyard! The Bacchus is a new favourite and saw us through Christmas!

From start to finish this was a wonderful vineyard experience. A beautiful location and fantastic hospitality. Having the family who own the vineyard show you round gave it such a wonderful quality. Great wines and such a delicious picnic overlooking the stunning scenery. A wonderful day!

Hi there,
Sorry we haven't been in touch sooner.
It is £15 per person, so it would be £60 in total. You can call the vineyard on 01798 815196 and we can arrange a date.
Best wishes,
Olivia
