Had a lovely time over the Easter holidays here. Ideal for families with young children. Sandy , paddling, restful. Next to great Venus cafe for drinks , ices and food.Easy access.Ferry close by. Parking is limited.Great views over to Salcombe.
We drove to salcombe took the pedestrian ferry to east portlemouth then walked the coast path to Gara Rock and back across the inland route. It's such a stunning place in the sunshine. Beautiful beaches too. 4 miles. Recommended
At £1.60 each way, it is well worth the short ferry trip to visit the beach, both for the sand, which the kids will love, and the views back to Salcombe.
