Beautiful place

What an amazing place!! Very scenic for the adults and lots to see for the children :). It's a stony beach so not for sunbathers. The whole area really pretty

Beautiful beach. Acceptable water. English zlatni rat and amazing outflow. For couples is better to go further along the sea. There is a lot of free space without families.

The D-Day preparations are well explained both at the visitor centre and at the ruins on the beach. Nice bbq area and pretty decent but small child's play area. Lots of trees and grass to release the little ones on. Toilets and cafe on site (although it stopped serving food at 16:00hrs). Parking available at £6 all day, but you'd... More

We had a lovely walk along the beach as far as it reaches and were fascinated to read on the war memorial we came across that men left Lepe Beach for the D-Day evacuation. There are several large car parks (fees apply). We managed to park directly facing the very narrow, but lovely sandy beach. There is an excellent beach... More

Hello Many thanks for your review of Lepe Country Park and great to hear you enjoyed your visit and exploring the D-Day remains whilst you were here. Regarding bins at the park, there is a bin next to the office and outside of the café, and 4 dog bins around the site. Otherwise, we do ask visitors to take their... More

It's not a sandy beach so don't expect anything pretty! Stoney beach with interesting connections to the D Day Landings but other than that, limited facilities. Toilets were disgusting. Cafe shut before 5pm even though it is high season now. Good place to watch boats from but not much else around here.

Hello Many thanks for your review of Lepe Country Park. It's great to hear you managed to explore up to the D-Day remains and this part of Lepe's heritage. We are a shingle beach, sometimes sandier than other times depending on the tide, but on the whole you'll find this is the geology of this stretch of coastline and as... More

Plentiful parking, a good place for a quick swim, and the café was very acceptable. Good prices and friendly staff. I found it a bit odd that on the fringes of the New Forest , where you can park in any number of places for free and have miles of space for a picnic, that this place attracts a packed... More

Its a lovely location, and on a clear day, feels like you could just paddle across to the Isle of wight. Went there recently a couple of times with the family, walked along the sea front, but also had a picnic in the wide open green area just a short (but steep) set of steps from the front. Tip: park... We walked down to Lepe Country park when we were camping nearby. It was great to all age groups enjoying the place with big family picnics, kite flying and children playing on the beach. I have come here for many years. I love to watch the yachts and look across to the Island. The history of the D Day landings and the memorial make it even more special. I love to swim here.
