Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We took Thunder and Cooper for a walk last week and we absolutely loved it. This is the third time we’ve done an alpaca walk, and this was the best one. Our guide was friendly and very knowledgeable, Martyn clearly loves his job on the family farm.

Was great to meet so many alpacas and we got to see a recent arrival too. Was really chuffed they hadn’t had their summer haircut yet as they were so fluffy! Thoroughly recommend this activity.

This is a MUST do for anyone whose kids love animals. My 7year old rated this her best experience in Scotland! We were given a very insightful briefing about Alpacas, allowed to feed them, following which it was a good walk around the wide field of the farm. The Aplacas were all so tame. And amazingly there was no smell. We had encounters with Alpacas in Taiwan and they smelt so bad. Here, the alpacas are kept really well maintained. And the farm has sheeps and chickens too!

Exceptional experience! What a lovely day out trekking with the Alpacas. The trip was given as a voucher and we easily found and booked our experience online. Martyn was a fountain of knowledge and very hospitable. Beautiful scenery as you walked with your Alpacas and met their animal friends. We would highly recommend this experience.

Amazing experience! Animals were clearly all greatly loved and cared for!

Martyn was incredible and had great connection with my party but also the younger members of the group. Super knowledgeable. Will definitely be back!

The Alpaca trekking was absolutely amazing!

Animals are clearly very well looked after and happy - very gentle and social animals.

Martyn, our guide was brilliant and very proficient, outgoing and outwardly loves his job. He was great crack and awesome with some of the younger guests on our trip.

Thank you to Darren and Martyn for a lovely afternoon Alpaca trekking. Darren stepped in last minute to make sure our trek could still go ahead due to absence of another guide. We had a great time feeding and walking the Alpacas, seeing the sheep and highland cows. Highly recommend!

It is a short walk (don’t expect a full on trekking) but in great company. You first get an introduction to each member of the herd, you get to give them some treats and then you go walk around the property with them. You get to see the other animals on the property and hear about them. It is really lovely. Martyn is a very knowledgeable and passionate guy, he really loves his family farm and his animals. We loved it

exceptional service. It is a family run farm and it shows because we thoroughly enjoyed our alpaca trek with Martin. Very informative, great craic and will definitely be bringing my international friends when they visit. Keep up the amazing work!

You will fall head over heels in love with these adorable Alpacas! Shadow & Cooper were the stars. Despite it being a bit wet & windy on the day, we hardly noticed the weather as we were having too much fun on our trek. This is a friendly family run business where you get to meet, trek & feed these gentle creatures. The stunning scenery & additional animals on the farm are an added bonus.

Thank you for taking the time to leave this review, we certainly love our alpacas and it’s great to see we aren’t the only ones! Hopefully we will get to welcome you to the farm again one day.
