Great ruins and sparks imagination but the official attraction, shop and toilets never seem to be open. Ever since I’ve been going it’s never been open. Apart from this the mine buildings are in excellent condition!

This is a great place to explore. We take the dogs. Take a torch if you want to go in the kilns. Lovely choice of kilns or up into the quarry.
