    Unique golf
A very unique golf course. Challenging holes but plenty of tees, and there was information to assist in choosing suitable tee positions. Highly recommend a visit. Felt like playing in Arizona.

Ok .. what we expected .. the course is good ..
We normally stay in Puerto Mogan . We only went to anfi tauro to play golf …the course was in good condition .. we have played it before … green fee rates from 1 Nov through winter to Spring are quite expensive €140 per round + € 20’ each to share a buggy … in Sept and October … you can get the same deal for €105 per person. But it is the same price structure at all courses near Puerto Mogan . It was an enjoyable day .

    Amazing course!
Decided to treat myself to a round of golf, and this course looked amazing from the reviews and their website. It did not disappoint. Friendly welcome, very decent set of hire clubs, TaylorMade Sim2 max graphite full set, thinking of changing my driver now! The course itself is more spectacular than it looks in photos, and was in great condition. Greens are very tricky, and my putting leaves a lot to be desired at the best of times, but a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Great pro shop too, i could have spent a fortune!

    Wonderful challenge.
Fabulous golf course. Well maintained and challenging. Parts of it are cut high into the side of the mountain. Terrific views over land and sea. Not cheap and you will need several golf balls on this difficult course but a wonderful experience.

Amazing golf course not to be missed
I was part of group of 3 couples who Played Anfi Tauro today for the first time . We all came off after our round saying the course was amazing . Holes in dramatic situations and every hole a delight to play. Well done to the designers and constructors of this wonderful course. Also well done to the staff who ensured our day was enjoyable L F , Cumbria, England

This is a must play course if you are visiting Gran Canaria. Fantastic views and wonderful course design. Absolutely breathtaking. A good player always has a risk shot and a safe shot- giving something to think about on every hole! In good condition, although the soft greens can take a battering from the many rounds played here. Buggy only course. You will see why when you take the path up to the highest tees and drive down about 40 metres to the fairway , or try and work out what to hit to the par-3 holes 25/30 metres below the tee. You have a feeling of being in the Arizona desert while playing between the steep rocks or through the cactus and palm trees which line the fairways. An experience never forgotten. It`s tricky but by choosing the right tee all hcps. can have a good time and make some points. Of course the further back you go , the more exciting the drives become.

There is one problem at Anfi which is good to know. The driving range is a good kilometer away from the clubhouse and buggies are not allowed on the public road which is the only way to get there. There are taxis that will run you up and down the hill for 3 Euros and the staff at the driving range will order one for you.

Don´t miss out on the Par-3 course. It´s an absolute gem, with two sets of tees so 18 holes is a challenge and most enjoyable, with water hazards to cross and flowers and palm trees to negotiate. Thanks to everyone at Anfi for three geat days!

On holiday in Gran Caneries for 3 weeks so fancied a knock round a course what has good reviews, here is my opinion.

Great course layout, every hole a different problem to solve You have great views from most tee boxes.

Tee,s and fairways in great condition,

However and here is the big negative the greens we're shocking condition for the monies that I had to pay 120€ With buggy for that sort of money I expect perfect conditions. The excuse that only 6 greenkeepers are working due to covid does not cut it for me, reduce your greenfees to reflect the condition of the greens.
Also 40€ to hire a set of clubs for 1 round is nothing short of scandalous.
Would I go back yes if the greens we're sorted out but only if I had clubs with me, only given 3 stars due to greens and prices.

Anfi has retained its greedy policy of charging non-golfers to ride in the golf buggy with partners. What a disgrace. With a current green fee of 140 euros, they still have the audacity and greed to charge 20 euros per person for the golf buggy, regardless if you are playing or just accompanying someone on the course. Hang your heads in shame, Anfi. Have you not heard of the cost of living crisis and consider the money you are losing because couples who are not both golfers will not pay 180 Euros to go around your course. 180 euros is almost £160 Pounds for a round, the course is nice but it isnt St Andrews or Gleneagles. Get a grip Anfi.

After repeatedly visiting Anfi del Mar for the last 15 years & playing golf at the fantastic course at Tauro, I have to report that with much regret I will not visit the course again.
Myself and my wife must have been to the course on around 50 occasions and always enjoyed it. However the Golf Course have now decided to charge non-golfers for riding in the golf buggie. 20 euros just to ride in the buggie, what a disgrace. My wife doesn’t play golf but enjoys the buggie ride and keeps me company, she also enjoys meeting other golfers and the fun banter.
For the last 15 years you paid your golf green fee and also a fee for the buggy, it didn’t matter if there was a “rider” in the buggie, it was just a flat fee for the buggie like it is at every other golf course in the world. We also used to have lunch at the Anfi Emerald club at the course after the golf. So guess what, they have lost a golfer and a couple who used to spend money on food and drink after golf. The staff were not helpful or reasonable in any way and I will not return to be treated like this after being a loyal and devoted fan of the golf course. This policy is, in my opinion disgraceful. Instead of benefiting from the money we used to spend not only on the golf, but on food and drinks afterwards, they will now receive none of my hard earned cash. Very, very disappointed in Anfi’s decision to introduce such a greedy and ridiculous policy.

bad experience.
We called the day before, and booked time for a round of golf plus rent of two golf bags with iron / clubs.
We got a time to tee out at 8 Am. When we arrived, we could not get the requited golf bags before 9 am - with that result we missed our booked time.
In top of that we had to leave, with out any “sorry” from the people in the office……. for the hole incident.

But the golf course looked nice from distance.

My friend (12 handicap) and I (1 handicap) enjoyed this course very much. It normally plays a par 72 but they shortened the first hole to a par 3 to stop golfers hitting balls into the houses on the left. The course has 5 par 5s (ignoring the 1st) and 5 par 3s so a good balance for all golfers. We played the yellow tees but if u want a challenge then play whites as it is well over 7000 yards.

The fairways are excellent and so very green in contrast to the surrounding landscape . The rough is basically rocky or sandy runoff areas so best u keep the ball pretty straight. The greens were well-maintained and ran true, They were challenging, especially if u were on the wrong side of the hole.

The first 9 has some lovely holes with awesome views, however the back 9 is truly outstanding as some of the views are truly magnificent. Very different to what I normally play (links) so was very memorable.

Golf here is not a cheap sport though so bear the following in mind. We got a discount by going for twilight rate which makes playing almost reasonable, but we had to hire clubs (ouch) and a buggy ( too hilly and distances between holes make a buggy a necessity) that made our experience a tad expensive..they gave us a complimentary bottle of water but happily we took our own...we needed them too as was very hot.

All in all very happy and loved the experience....u on holiday so just play it and enjoy it. RECOMMENDED

I played three courses in Gran Canaria last week and this is one to avoid. The buggies were dirty and not in good condition. The layout is confusing with a disconnect between the practice area and the first tee. At the first tee there were several groups waiting to play. When we did get away, there were three groups playing the first hole. It took one hour to play holes one and two. I called the pro-shop and asked if they could send out a course ranger. The man arrived ten minutes later. I spoke to him about the pace of play. He said "there were 260 people booked on the course and what did I expect" I suppose I expected him to do his job and be courteous.

It took five hours and 15 minutes to play the course. It is a shame to give green fees to courses that have no regard for their clients.

Too many people booked on - took us 5 1/2 hours to complete - was waiting at every single hole….
Seems like they are trying to cram as many people in as they possibly can.

Also not many toilets around.

Would have been much better if there had been a better flow of pay.

The spectacular of the place was taken away from him by structural adjustments - with it you can chase through even more flights, which of course brings money. The price is now simply excessive. Each slot is clocked at 8 minutes, although at some holes it takes 3 minutes to ride the buggy alone. The Marshall behaves presumptuously, outrageously and absolutely inappropriately.m to allegedly speed up the game. Basically right, but the tone makes the music. You could also change the clock to 10 minutes. That would bring relaxation overall. After all, you leave a lot of money here. The buggies are ailing and the brakes only work if you talk them into it well. Some bunkers are littered with weeds, raking is rather rare - perhaps also to speed up the flow of the game? All in all: you don't have to do it anymore.
