My son and daughter and I are experienced cyclists, but we wanted to try electric bikes. Dave was really helpful and easygoing, and we had a great day cycling to the pub at Blanchland via Derwent reservoir. Great scenery, quiet roads, very good value. Very customer friendly.

My wife and I have wanted to try electric bikes for some time. Well, this is the place to do it. There is Derwent Reservoir to cycle around and a wonderful medieval village Blanchland to visit. The cycles are in great condition and we are now saving our pennies to buy electric bikes. I/we would have Strugles to come out of Blanchland back to Consett. These bikes made us feel super human. £5 per hour or £25 for the day. A wonderful experience.

Never been on an electric bike before but a great experience. Me and my better half just arrived at the shop, better to phone first we found out, but within 10 minutes were of on our travels, well around Derwent reservoir. Can only rave about electric bikes, we are both in our 50s so not as fit as we used to be but when you come to an incline the motor kicks in and we effortlessly climbed up and continued on our way. Well worth the money just a shame we didn't have a plan to go farther. Certainly will have to invest in one for the future. Great way to spend a couple of hours or longer if you feel fitter, friendly staff who explain everything simply, well actually they are really simple to ride anyway. Would have went for a longer run another day but unfortunately had to go home. Well worth a go, you won't be disappointed.

Stumbled across an advert at Derwent reservoir and so pleased we did! Rang at short notice and still managed to book 5 electric bikes for the next day. Dave was most helpful and following a brief demonstration we felt confident to venture out. The bikes were excellent, easy to use and thoroughly enjoyed by all. Really looking forward to the next time. Highly recommended and the best prices we could find! Thank you.

We hired electric bikes and cycled a 2 hour route around the local reservoir. Dave, the owner, went through the controls (which were very straightforward) and off we went. Wow, what a difference it made cycling uphill with the added electric power! You could adjust the setting according to how much pedal power you wanted. The local area was stunning and made all the more enjoyable by the fact we weren't huffing and puffing our way up the hills! For £5/hour we thought it was excellent value; the bikes were brand new and of a very high quality. We will definitely be returning on our next visit to the area/stay at the local Slaley Hall hotel. Many Thanks, Kate & Janet
