Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Always pop in to visit, beautiful little church - no electric so very pretty when lit by candles.
Drive up every year for the Annual Harty Flower festival, and any other excuse for a visit when its open.
You can also buy fresh farm eggs, jams and vegetables from the farmhouse next door.

Harty is a wonderful place to visit, so peaceful and far away from the crowds. The church is beautiful and typical of a country church. Check out the famous chest which was stolen by thieves and returned to the church when somebody recognised it at an auction. The chest is unfortunately now behind iron gates to keep it secure but you can still see it. I believe it dates back to the 1600's.
There are many walks/trails around Harty where you can take in the bird life and if you fancy something to eat or a drink, the Harty Ferry Inn offers a wide choice and lovely views over the estuary. A perfect place for a walk and a summer drink (obviously when lockdown allows).
This is one of my favourite places to visit on the Isle of Sheppey and well worth a visit. If you are lucky to visit in May/June check out the Flower Festival which runs over a weekend and is an ideal place to meet some of the local people and sample some homemade goodies and crafts. They usually have a live band playing, plenty to see and do.

A wonderful place of worship with a thousand years of Christianity embedded in its stones. Well worth the detour. Another churchyard to give rest to a War Grave.

A lovely place, beautiful inside worth a visit. Look up to your right after you walk in and you’ll see a Saxon watch tower, rumoured to have been there before the Church as built.
Flower festival with country fair in July each year. Last Church in the country no electric so Midnight Mass at Christmas is a spectacular of candles.

A beautiful little church, in the middle of the countryside on Sheppey. They hold a flower festival each year, which makes a beautiful church, simply stunning.

Travelled to this bijou church in late January with relatives local to the island. Very atmospheric and desolate at that time of year. Reminiscent of the opening scene to Great Expectations but, devoid of the mist. A small gift shop where an informative pamphlet about the history of the place and, other items can be purchased via an honestly box. Would like to revisit when the flower festival is in progress later in the year. Full of history.

Amazing scenic drive to Harty Ferry. Really lovely old church with beautiful stained glass windows.
A few historic tombs with brief potted history. Love the jam for sale.
The views are smashing and worth the drive along the pot holed country lane.

I wonder if there will be a flower festival this year?

There is a churchyard but whether or not it is still in use, I don't know. Best to contact the church directly.
