We went with friends to watch the Welsh derby finals and had a scream. Easy to place a bet, bar prices reasonable and we were given free sandwiches...nice touch. Great for families and so friendly

Great to see greyhounds enjoying what they do best - running @ full tilt !
I knew where the track was from an earlier visit - a sign would help?

Learned of this and gave it a go, surprised that kids loved it so much ! Could do with better food options but a great and cheap night out. Get real close up to the track

Didn't even know this place existed but wow what a fab night. Took our daughters who are both 15 and they loved it. We were made so welcome and it was a lovely place, clean, tidy and the drinks were really cheap. Only down fall is that it's only open on a Thursday and Sunday evening. I'd never been before but would definitely go back again, we all would.

Racing 7.30pm Thursday and Saturday. Follow signs for 'Dyffryn Business Park' from the A469 just south of Ystrad Mynach, then look for the glow of the floodlights.
Two licenced bookmakers, a really well kept bar/lounge with replays of all the races on TV and a snack bar if you prefer a hot dog and a cuppa. The age range of the crowd seems to go from 4 to 84 and it's very popular as a cheap boys or girls night out (it only costs a fiver to get in and the bookies are perfectly happy to take bets as small as £1). The locals know all the dogs really well, so you're never short of advice on which dog to back. It's good for families and the kids can even pet the dogs after they've run.
I only went along for a laugh, expecting to see a group of old men in flat caps and a few scrawny old hounds. What I found was a professional, friendly and entertaining little gem of a night out. I now take every chance I can to go back there.

Recently visited this little gem with family and friends. Great atmosphere, immaculately clean and children friendly.
The staff behind the bar, those that take your bets and the owner were all very welcoming and helpful, which was great as we are new to dog racing.
There were eight races on the night we visited, great fun.
Lots of room and comfy sofas for those that want to watch the races on the internal TV's. If you do want to watch the races indoors, there are huge picture windows, furnished with chairs and tables, that give an excellent outlook of the track. To watch the racing outside there is designated area, that has a great view of the track.
The toilets are well equipped and spotlessly clean.
All in all a great night. Thank you to the staff and the owner for such a warm welcome and a fun filled evening.
