Stayed on the island in Homestaying 1. It’s peacefull, no cars, and the hostess was very friendly and served great dishes. No wifi, washing with a bucket of water. An experience to go for.

We rent bike and went around village then walked into the middle of Meakhong river it is look like dessert. People around village are friendly. You need to take a boat to the other side of the river 1000 Riel per person, kid is free.

The island is nice, the transport across the river is cheap and interesting. You can rent bike on the island and make the turn of it (around 10km) in 1h / 1h30.

Highlight of our stay in Kratie. Probably in all the places in Cambodia, these were the friendliest people we met. My mouth started to ache from returning all the warm smiles and hellos from the locals, it was a very welcoming place. Rent your bike...More

It is supposedto be eco tourism and you stay with families in very elementary accommodations. Mostly you sleep on a matress under a mosquito net. There are no cars on the island

Hi Wayne, I don't think there are any places to camp on the island. We did a thorough tour of it and saw no evidence of camping facilities. The only thing I can suggest is that you contact the few guest houses there and ask... More
