Nice place to relax and have lunch

This is where we had our buffet lunch after a tiring boat ride due to the big waves (fun in a way!). It's a nice place to relax after eating.

People just go here to eat lunch then leave. Sand is stony and rocky. Not recommended. Nothing special.

We spent our lunch in this island and it was very relaxing. The place is well-preserved by the local tribe, surrounded by trees and stones. There is nothing special here but if you are looking for a place to relax. This is one of the options.

Travelling to Coron/Busuanga, our goal was to experience the many snorkeling opportunities (reefs, marine life & wrecks) that were available on day trips leaving Coron port. We pre-booked using Calamianes Expeditions & Ecotours for our four days of planned adventure and this place was one the sites visited/experienced during one of the private day trips. (The tour operator & tours... More

Our pumpboat stopped at Atwayan Beach in Coron Island in the course of our island-hopping tour. Here, we took our lunch as did other boatloads of tourists. The beach is actually a narrow strip of sand, hemmed in by the tall limestone cliffs, on which several nipa shacks with low wooden tables have been built. Here, you unload your foodstuff... More

There's nothing great about this island. It has been commercialized by adding too many cottages in the beach front. It's only good for a short stop over (we ate our lunch here and left once finished). You can skip this one and opt to try the other islands! Again, bring insect repellents, i had been bitten by mosquitoes in this... More

I've gone to this beach more than a few times in the last 30 years when it was still unknown. It lies just about 30 mins boat ride from across Coron town where my family lives. Regardless it always is exciting everytime I go. The beautiful scenery brings back a lot of memories. Atwayan sits in one of the coves... More

We made a brief stop here. The sand was white and soft, the water fantastically colored as one would expect from this area. The Palawan cherry trees were in full bloom and lovely

Went here during a short mission trip with the Tagbanua people. This is being managed by a Tagbanua family. Sand is powdery white just like the one in Boracay but the water her is clearer and fishes are everywhere. Snorkeling is very advisable and don't forger to bring your underwater camera.

We landed on Atwayan beach after a long day of snorkelling and swimming. It was the perfect end to a hectic day. I only wish we had thought ahead and carried some beer or wine to enjoy the sunset.
