This is one of the beaches in Coron island hopping right next to the Coral Garden. Most beaches cost P200/P300 per person. This one only cost P100 per person as it is a smaller and more like a cove so it's not as crowded as the others. Our boatmen cooked a native lunch (grilled chicken and fresh caught fish) and... There is a plentitude of beaches, so the trick to find one that isn't too crowded. We got beach 91 recommended, but it was reserved that day, so stopped at this one cause we liked the look of it. We were there before a big group was supposed to come in, so we had the place almost to ourselves. Ideal... More

People just go here to eat lunch then leave. Sand is stony and rocky. Not recommended. Nothing special.

This is where we had our buffet lunch after a tiring boat ride due to the big waves (fun in a way!). It's a nice place to relax after eating.

We spent our lunch in this island and it was very relaxing. The place is well-preserved by the local tribe, surrounded by trees and stones. There is nothing special here but if you are looking for a place to relax. This is one of the options.

Travelling to Coron/Busuanga, our goal was to experience the many snorkeling opportunities (reefs, marine life & wrecks) that were available on day trips leaving Coron port. We pre-booked using Calamianes Expeditions & Ecotours for our four days of planned adventure and this place was one the sites visited/experienced during one of the private day trips. (The tour operator & tours... More

Our pumpboat stopped at Atwayan Beach in Coron Island in the course of our island-hopping tour. Here, we took our lunch as did other boatloads of tourists. The beach is actually a narrow strip of sand, hemmed in by the tall limestone cliffs, on which several nipa shacks with low wooden tables have been built. Here, you unload your foodstuff... More

There's nothing great about this island. It has been commercialized by adding too many cottages in the beach front. It's only good for a short stop over (we ate our lunch here and left once finished). You can skip this one and opt to try the other islands! Again, bring insect repellents, i had been bitten by mosquitoes in this... More

I've gone to this beach more than a few times in the last 30 years when it was still unknown. It lies just about 30 mins boat ride from across Coron town where my family lives. Regardless it always is exciting everytime I go. The beautiful scenery brings back a lot of memories. Atwayan sits in one of the coves... More
