Well Made, Built To Last
Oct 2017 • Solo
As with many of the Welsh towns and villages I drove through and visited, many have large, sturdy, well made and built to last churches. This is no exception. If not being used as a church, many potentially could / would make excellent homes.

Two churches and an intriguing graveyard
Jun 2017 • Family
We made a trip to Bethesda to see Jerusalem Chapel, where my wife's ancestors worshipped. The Calvinistic Methodist Chapel, and the church next door, were architecturally intersting. We visited on a weekday and both were locked. We were able to explore the graveyard, which had fascinating gravestones.

Neglected Listed Building
May 2017 • Couples
Hubby and I were travelling on the A5 through Bethesda when we decided to stop and check out this Grade 1 listed building. The war memorial at the front is ok but chained off. The gardens are unkempt and there was a large amount of litter strewn around the benches. There is a slate/stone memorial commemorating the Great Miners Strike 1900-1903. The imposing Church looked derelict and abandoned. Is it still open?

Sunday Service at Christmas
Dec 2016 • Couples
Excellent service with all the children performing exidingly well. A family orientated Christmas Service. Welsh throughout, reflecting the area culture and background. Children that took part were all Welsh first language.
