Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Cruise ship tour included a stop at Taganana. After negotiating the twisting roads over the mountain and avoiding head on collisions at the switchbacks we arrived at a beautiful waterfront scene. Waves were running high and there were surfers in the water. There is a path out over the water. Beware if you take it as the waves often crash over the rocks, soaking anyone on the path.

Loved this place and only had a few hours to hike up and soak in the views. Advise to spend more time here.

Spectacular views, definitely worth visiting, especially if you have a car and you can stop along the route to take lot of beautiful photos as you approach the village.

We took the public bus from Santa Cruz de Tenerife up to Taganana village. The bus only cost a few euros per person and the views on the journey were spectacular. Taganana village was pretty and peaceful and we spent about an hour just wandering around. Then we walked from Taganana village along the main road down to Almaciga beach where we had lunch. Overall a great day trip and very affordable if you take the public bus which runs every few hours (timings are available on Google maps).

Absolutely fabulous beach. There is a communal restaurant with large tables and a set menu. There is a smaller cafe further down the street. Very quiet. Bus tours arrive and use the communal restaurant.

Enjoyed driving through this area along the winding hilltop roads. Amazing views. Loved the little traditional villages and trekking to different locations.

If you are travelling here make sure you take the longer route, trust me the scenery along the way is so worth it! We purposely chose the longer way to drive through the mountains and we were not disappointed. The views were absolutely stunning and the roads were in great condition considering they were mountain roads!!
