Splendid eating near the coast of the Great Blue Ocean. Canarian potatoes as they should be. And a fish you'll never find elsewhere.

We stopped for lunch at Casa Africa which cost €10 / 13 for 2 / 3 course lunch. Not bad, we had fresh fish, nice salad, potatoes, bread with very cold very young wine. Bananas for dessert.

We drove past the town on our day in Anaga. The town is set in a valley with a backdrop of green mountains ornated with beautiful sharp peaks rising over the ocean. Some really nice pic opportunities.

We left Cruz del Carmen and stopped at Taganana for a break before continuing our way to Punta del Hidalgo. Beautiful area! Nice little bar to relax after a hike.

We rented a car and drove from Santa Cruz to Taganana and Bajamar. Beautiful drive! Very picturesque. If you get car sick, be sure to take Dramamine beforehand. Taganana is the perfect little town to stop, walk around a bit and have lunch. This road...More

We booked a coach trip to Taganana in the north of the islands, through Viator. The booking was easy, but things started to go wrong from there. Viator's instructions were to phone the trip organising company, Viajes Teide, when we arrived in Tenerife to get...More

We loved driving around Tenerife during our recent holiday. The diversity of climate, scenery and plant life is remarkable for such a small island. One of the best destinations for a drive is Taganana. At the end of a dramatic mountain crossing - it drops...More

This and Masca Valley are the most beautiful locations on the island. Absolutely stunning views that seem unreal; as if they could only exist in a movie. Pictures and words don't do it justice. The drive is easier than Masca Valley but still has lots...More
