Its situated in Mukundpuram Taluka in Thrissur district in Kerala. The dam construction got over in 1966.Its built across chimony river & is the largest dam in Thrissur district.

Its one of the famous, nice dam situated in Thrissur. The View was very excellent and the water flow as superb.

It is a small dam,catchment area and a small garden ,now they are stated to produce power,not much rush ,you can spend your few hours come with own vehicle

I went on a partially cloudy day so the view was almost breathtaking of the water collected behind the dam. The clouds almost touching the hills surrounding. The journey is long from the Thrissur city though its worthwhile to see such a beautiful place.

Yes. Parking is very close to the Earthern dam. One can drive half km down to reach the masonry dam. Driving through the dam is not permitted.
