We have different elements to our business.

We offer a straight drop off and pick up service to and from Hot Water Beach, for walkers, walking the Tarawera Trail or for campers, camping at Hot Water Beach Lake Tarawera.

We offer Cultural and Geothermal tours that include Hot Water Beach and the Natural Bush Hot Pool. You will experience its unique geothermal wonders and relax in crystal clear warm water, under a canopy of unspoiled forest. Other tours take you to the Tarawera Falls, one of New Zealand's outstanding short walks or other popular walking tracks. All tours include a commentary on the amazing local Maori cultural, and volcanic history. We have an all weather boat.

Our newest venture is Glamping (glamorous camping). This is not new to New Zealand but there are few places like Lake Tarawera to experience the full spectrum of what this experience has to offer. A native bush setting, direct views to Mt Tarawera, whare style shelters and not 50 metres away from your tent, the crystal clear lake to swim and play. Of course there is the geothermal at the lake edge for soaking or trying your hand at cooking in the sand. (We have just produced a cook book to show you how). And there are no sulphur smells to worry about.

Tarawera trail

A wonderful walk with a hot soak at the end of it and a boat trip back as long as you remember to book it first. Well worth the effort.

Was great service, friendly and with some local history. Kids lived it... It was fun and they felt the driver treated them well...sometimes kids get overlooked by guides etc. Well done.

The website could have been updated with more detail on the Tarawera trail, particularly about the loop track back to the car.

Great place to get away too but not isolated as being next to Hot Water Beach there are a number of boats coming and going especially during peak times where as week days are very quite. The Glamping Site has all the comforts of home but with the camping feel about it. You only have to bring your suitcase/pack and... More

Kia ora Abbyfryer, Thank you for such an awesome review, I am sure if there was a six star review category we would have just received it with this review. It is really pleasing to hear words such as "authentic experience", "extremely impressed" and the "highlight of our 2 week holiday" when you describe the experience you enjoyed. This is... More

Great boat ride with a picturesque blue lake and amazing surrounding mountains. The skipper told us some interesting history about the formation of the lake. The walk itself is a little dry and does take around 4 hours. There is not much to be seen other than ferns and trees and the occasional glimpse of the blue lake. There are... More

Kia ora jasonluong, Thank you for taking the time to review us and the Tarawera Trail. I am glad to hear you felt the boat ride was great, with a "picturesque blue lake and amazing surrounding mountains". The Tarawera Trail is around the 4 hour mark to walk. It does go through New Zealand Native Bush, but as you say... More

Used this service to get us to Hot Water Beach on Lake Tarawera to begin our Tarawera Trail Walk. The taxi was on time, and the skipper was most informative of the history around the area as he took us across. Would definitely use again
