Check the tide times, we caught the boat and its worth it, very high winds the day we went but lots of uneven and slippy cobble to get around. but once inside the tour is good and knowledgeable. excellent views and ideal for nature.

Beautiful views, interesting castle, and a really historical location, including one of the earliest Jack the Giant Killer legends. A great day out with the family.

This has been on my bucket list for years and it was 100% worth the trip. I caught the boat over, which was an adventure itself, and walked back. The castle was presented beautifully and the views are breathtaking. What a wonderful place!

We did not actually visit the old castle. There was a lot to see and do without going up there.

Yes. There are lots of places to picnic either on the island itself or sitting looking at the island. There are picnic tables in a walled "field" just as you go onto the island which is nice and sheltered or you can sit just... More

For goodness sake do NOT walk across the causeway when there is water that is idiotic and careless! Make sure the tide is totally out before you attempt to walk. The tide times are clearly advertised on websites and in the... More
