A group of 10 of us arrived yesterday for a 30th birthday before a night out in Edinburgh. Good location, 4 great battle 'maps' and games. Great prices for extra paintballs. No issues with any of the equipment or PPE supplied. Top information from Sandy who clearly knows his stuff given his own paintballing experience, aided by his son who was a good lad aswell. Would definitely return and also highly recommend to anyone thinking about doing paintballing. Cheers!

Have now had both my sons birthday parties at A1 Paintball and each time they've loved it and been hyper on the return journey home. Sandy, the owner, is both a very nice guy and an experienced host. Very reasonably priced and a great venue to host a teenager's birthday party. Highly recommended.

Went there today for a stag due, not only the staff is really friendly but they are much cheaper than the competition for magazines. This is probably because they are very paintball players themselves, playing in competitions themselves. Can't recommend enough

As someone who had never played paintball in my life up until a few days ago, I was a bit nervous before meeting the team at A1 paintball. Sandy and his team were very helpful, informative and incredibly funny. They made an early start on a Sunday seem not so bad! They put myself and a few others at ease immediately! We got hints and tips while in play, which was very good, and we had our photos taken which were out up on the Facebook page the same day. Enjoyable experience and highly recommend it for team building and generally a good time. 👍🏻 :-)

Well what a disappointment A1 paintball was. I went with a stag group and I would struggle to write a good thing about this place. Right from the begining this place starts off bad. Terrible signage to find the place, a battered sign lying against a wall, a walk down to the centre (you leave your car at the top of the drive) which is sooo overgrown you think it must be the wrong way, surely this is not an operational business? Once you have found your way, the complex of buildings looks like it had been abandoned years ago. It was terribly tired and overgrown. The owner was a not a very nice guy! Enough said. Our gear was no better. Ripped overalls with missing buttons. Goggles so bad I could bearly see out of them. The only thing to differentiate the teams was a small armband which you could hardly see, so out on the battlefield you had no idea who was who. The arenas were also were run down, but would have been OK if the other things I have mentioned were better. But with virtually NO visibility, and not knowing who to shoot the games were incredibly frustrating. My gun also jammed twice and very pivotal points in the game, causing me to get shot and having to find the martial to get help. Here he proceeded to blame me for picking up ammo from the ground! (which i did not) and waste half my ammo, getting it to work again. Which I never got the offer of replacing. All in all a very expensive waste of money. I would advise anyone thinking of going to book somewhere else that actually cares about their business and customer experiences.
