The best Curry Pie we have ever eaten! The friendliness of owner Natalie and our lovely waiter, Blayne was delightful and the courtesy shown to our beloved terrier Rosie, was so jolly surprising [comfy doggie bed and fresh water].

I had some time on my hands so I went for a taster, and then some beers. They have some good beers, there should be one for you, and the brewmaster is very friendly and entertaining. I loved the atmosphere at the cosy new open air pub

Despite a little lack of shelter from wind my friends and I enjoyed our visit with epic beers and friendly staff, also got ourselves a few beer glasses!

A must visit, great beer. Also the best ever Pot Pie I’ve ever had. Hubbie had Lamb curry 8/10 (could be a little stronger on curry taste but still awesome. Oxtail pie 10/10. Nice pud called Yellow wood cheese cake which is a strawberry mouse on biscuit base 🤪 bit confusing on name but still 7/10
Thanks guys great lunch.

Iv always loved Basset Breweries from the first time I visited them, and always go back when I’m in the area. So the new venue is Amazing!!!! Our dog (Daisy) is treated like a queen. Service is top notch, the food is amazing ( you have to try the pot pies and the pizza - best in the area!) as always the beer is just too good. If I could give more stars I would!! Nat & Andy well done guys!!!! 10/10

The service was good.

Drinks a disappointment as they did not have stock of what was advertised and what they try to promote and "Brag about".

Food also a disappointment as they did not have stock of what was advertised, Chicken basket had a 1x box Chicken Breast 1 x samoosa and 2 x sprong rolls, topped up with a basket of chips.

Nice to try once but would not recommend going back.

A hidden, rustic gem in Pennington. Such an interesting story if you get a chance to talk to the owner/manager. It seems they entered their production of beer and ale, in a competition in the UK about a year ago, which was quite a costly affair. The products, beer and ale, came 3rd in the world (well out of those others that entered the competition). Google their website . They have amazingly creative names for their products. The Winter beer, named The Dogfather, was judged a Top 10 finalist in the 2015 South African National Craft Brewers Championships. They distribute their fine beers throughout the South Coast, Durban and the Midlands of Kwa-Zulu Natal.

The seasoned and experienced brew-master hosted us in person, which added value to the beer-tasting. This is a basic beach-shack-like "tasting room" without any frills or fuss. We left there with 2 cases of beer, because it was so darn good, the seasonal editions will entice the beer-drinker to make this a regular visit. The kids were entertained at the small driving range for quite a while, for about R50 (including balls and clubs). We had come from brunch, and thus we did not eat here.
