We took a bus out to see this and it was easy and cheap. Buses can be crowded, especially at weekends, so recommended going early (by 11am) or during the week. The basic entry was $3.50 per adult which we thought was pretty good value. Worth a visit when in Quito.

My husband and I love to travel and when we visit new cities we always look for top things to do and then we try to do them how a local would. So when our hotel told us to catch a private cab to this place for $60USD or to join a tour group, we knew there had to be... More

This is a fun tourist attraction to visit. Standing on both sides of the equator at the same time is a once in a lifetime experience! The shopping area surrounding the monument is clean, friendly and priced well. The endless souvenirs they sell are authentic. It's definitely a fun experience and a must see when in the area!

Even if it seems like a fun thing to take your photo straddling a yellow line dividing the northern and Southern Hemisphere, think twice before going here. The actual equator is about a 5km swath and changes seasonally and yearly. The museums were poorly designed. It wasn't worth the trip out there.

It is a park with about six independent museums inside. The most interesting site, is the pyramid where at the top you are at the exact center of the world. Then when going down in the elevator, you stop at several interesting parts of the pyramid with lots of information of the world and hystory of Peru and Ecuador. The... More

We asked the taxi driver to take us to the Equator Museum and he took us to the Tourist trap down the road and then back to this one. At that point. we'd already stood on the equator and this one is not cheap. Probably would have been better to come to this one first as the other tourist trap... More

I had never wanted to stay at an iconic attraction for so long! the place has everything, from the museum and the astonishing view of the whole town from the obelisk, to the restaurants and beautiful shops. You can get there by public transportation, and even though it is pretty far from Quito, it's very easy to reach, and it's... More

Great Eqautor museum and understanding of the significance of the specific place. Enjoyed the variety of museums-photography in particular. Great architecture in places. Many eateries & souvenir shops! Too many and too much the same if too long there! 1 1/2 hrs good.

I went there twice the last year and was really enjoyable. It's full in variety of activities from explain the importance about being the middle of the world, how tourism helps and growth the development of the region. The restaurants are so delicious with typical ecuatorian food. Just go there and live yourselves
