Spent 2+ hours on this beautiful, moderate and well maintained track along the Alfred River. Unique mosses, big beeches, birdsong. Really lovely. It got late and we couldn't go farther. If you go, stay at Lewis Pass Motel. It's great.

Great walk. Not too hard but by no means easy. We stopped off for a swim in the river, which was full of quartz and fools gold.
