Always see these Spitfire's flying over Kent so wondered what all the fuss was about. Wow just loved the tour which is genuinely enhanced with our guide Austin. So much I didn't know and really didn't expect to get the experience we received.

Just superb will be popping in again in the summer.

We had a fantastic tour, with an expert guide who knowledge and passion shone through. Saw a couple of spitfires in action too.

Absolutely FANTASTIC! Our guide was excellent and had such a great wealth of knowledge about everything - the history, the mechanics, all the planes and more. From the enthusiasts to the 'I-don't-want-to-go' teenagers in our family group, we were all fascinated and learned a lot. Thank you SOOOOO much.

This was brilliant! I purchased this as a gift for my spitfire fan partner, however I really enjoyed this too! The guide (Austin) was knowledgeable and entertaining. He clearly loves doing these tours! The tour was educational, I learnt so much, but also funny and interesting. The 1.5 hour tour flew by - lots of opportunities to ask questions if you want to. All of the staff at the Heritage Hanger were frequently and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend !

FABULOUS, AWESOME, AMAZING..... a real once in a lifetime pleasure. this is a MUST do for anyone who loves these old warbirds.

The flight was always going to be fantastic however the ground crew, Laurie, Ian and both the pilots were just great guys. The welcome, the humour, the serious safety stuff, the pre-flight, the chase plane (with all the family to make part and not just wave you off) the return and the post flight help from them with pictures and their relaxed professional attitude. We have a real family memory thanks to these guys. This is a real 'Thank you'.

And finally i achieved a boyhood dream to fly in and feel the controls of a real spitfire and understand what an amazing machine they are.

Absolutely awesome day, to sit in the back of that Spitfire and look out over the Kent countryside was breathtaking. I felt very privileged to be in an aircraft which carried the best pilots our country could ever wish for. The staff Ian and Laurie at Biggin Hill were fantastic, very knowledgable and nothing was too much trouble. My family followed in a spotter plane piloted by Toby which was great as we all flew over our home to see it from the air. My pilot Barry was excellent, checking on me throughout the flight, allowing me to take control and three victory rolls, how cool is that ?. This is an experience I would wholeheartedly recommend. I came away with my flight crew flash, a certificate and the biggest smile on my face. Thank you to all involved and to my wonderful husband who arranged it.

It was an extremely interesting tour. Our guide was wonderful. He explained so much about Biggin Hill and it’s history and the brave young pilots who were stationed there. Facinating to see the Merlin Engines and to watch how the wings are made from scratch as they had been put together during the war. Every Spitfire, Hurricane etc had their own story and it was an honour to be able to stand so close to these iconic planes and to stand near the only Messerschmitt 109 in Britain.
I really recommend this tour. Worth every minute. Great friendly staff. Coffee and snack machines available in the waiting area with tables and chairs and there are a number of gifts that can be purchased. There are also toilet facilities available.

I recently undertook a ‘Fly a Spitfire’ experience from Biggin Hill airfield. To say that it was one of the most exciting and memorable experiences of my life is an understatement - it was mind-blowing! To perform a Victory Roll’ over the white cliffs at Beachy Head and also to have a go at actually flying the plane on the return journey was also very special. A lot of money, I know, but worth every penny particularly for a special occasion.
All the staff made us very welcome - everyone made us feel very special and couldn’t do enough for us. Special thanks to my pilot, Jess, who took care of me during the flight. Our friends flew in the chase plane (Airvan) and got some great close-up pictures. Nice to have a video record of the flight to.
Bear in mind that, as the introductory and safety video states, flying in a Spitfire is not like flying a small light aircraft. It is quite noisy despite the helmet, the plane vibrates quite a lot and the cockpit is a bit of a squash.
Once again, thanksgiving all for a wonderful day. I’d love to do it again!

Hi Paul thanks for your e mail . It sounds like a great day was had by all. I can't think of anything more panoramic than a victory roll over the White Cliffs . I am going to pass on your comments to the Operations Manager and to the Flight Crew & Ground Crew .Kind Regards
