Went to Akauk Taung Pagodas with the boat. Boats can see the side of the mountain pagodas. The upstair trip to Pagoda is so unique and afraid. I ate the donated vegetarian lunch from the monastery at the top of Akauk Taung.

There are more than 300 Buddha images than are best seen by boat. We were on a large boat, so could not get too close; however they were still remarkable.

If you visit there, you should take a boat to see old Buddha images along the Ayeyarwaddy River. You can get two kinds of experiences, boat ride along river and hiking experience to get the top of mountain.

There is carvings of buddhas everywhere all over the little hillside. As it is large and all along the river, the best vantage point is from a boat riding up or down river.
