Serendipitous visit that turned out fantastic
Gorgeous views of Mount Fuji, with a tremendous spread of shops and eating establishments. Selected shops had generous discounts. Service was tip top. Bought a pair of jeans and had it altered in an hour at US$6. Totally worth a visit.

    Nice shopping trip
We arrived at thr outlet from Shinjuku bus terminal. We were told there is a higher chance in getting bus tickets to the outlet mall. We attempted to obtain tickets from Tokyo bus station without reservation like our previous visits but to no avail. Bus tickets from Tokyo bus station were sold out for the next week! Bus departed at 1045 hrs on time. Buses were full. Bus terminal is about 10 mins away from the train station (need to cross a road) and the bus terminal is located in a building. Need to download the E coupons as outlet as done away with the paper coupons. Many outlets provided a 10% discount. Passport is required for tax refunds with purchases more than 5000Y. Outlets were crowded with many Asians tourists due to the weak yen. We spend 5.5 hrs in the outlet (not enough time). WiFi is provided in the outlet. We bought drinks and food from Family Mart to save time for more shopping. There was a convenient store in the outlet mall.

    Nice Walk in Autumn
This is a huge Premium Outlet; just a day isn’t enough time. And careful, it’s easy to get lost. Parking is free. All the parking lots surround the outlet mall; so no need to take the first entrance. If you have been to Premium outlet malls in USA, Canada, or Malaysia, you’ll find this outlet mall is expensive with no deals to be had. Perhaps it’s due to the products being imported into Japan with a premium tax. It is all relative in my opinion though. If you come from Singapore or Hong Kong just for examples where premium goods are expensive, you might find something here.

Great shopping, Great Views & Great food..!!
This place is amazing, you get high end brands, all in a compact, well planned area.. with the beautiful Mt. Fuji in the background, great for photo ops.. The Food Court was nice, you get a good choice of Asian cuisine, may not be gourmet high end, but very passable for common folk.. There’s good Ice Cream, Steak, Pizza & Pasta too.. The best was seeing many shoppers bringing their well-behaved dogs with them.. Dogs were sooo cute.. Definitely coming back next year, will look for a hotel nearby to spend more time in the area..

Tokyo station to Gotemba by bus
If you are staying around Tokyo station it is quite easy to buy a bus ticket online or at the bus stop station . I would suggest online bus booking. Then on that day you go to Yaesu south area in Tokyo station to board the bus. Please check the boarding stop on the information board at the bus area. Today I am taking at ibus stop 5. Not sure if it will always be bus stop 5 but only fyi. In the event if you are unsure then ask the bus assistant there. They speak English.

    Good selection of stores
Gotemba Premium Outlets has many stores that I know, as well as many that I have not visited before. It is a good selection that should cater to most people's tastes. We spent the morning and part of the afternoon shopping, and also had lunch at the food bazaar. There was plenty of parking when we arrived.

I am a premium outlet fan, and I went to many of those across the USA and Australia. I was really excited to visit this place, as it is advertised on the net as one of the best around Tokyo, so I purchased the expensive bus ride from Shinjuku. What a waste of time and money! The prices for almost anything but some sneakers are higher than the full price of any USA, AU, or European department store. The discounts are very minimal, 10-20% at most. The selection inside the shops is also very limited but I believe that's a Japanese trend. Unfortunately, it was a rainy day, so I couldn't even see Mt. Fuji. Coming back to Tokyo took almost 3 hours due to an accident on the highway. Please save yourself a full day of your holidays and money.

I did not expect the area of the Gotemba Premium Outlets to be this big, with expansion ongoing. Loved that they have prams for rent for families with kiddos (my nephew needed one!) A very good range of brands to shop at and quite some food choices too. I went straight for Shake Shack!

Went there with the family on 2 Jan 2020 after spending the morning sightseeing in the Mt Fuji surroundings via a private charter. Got to Gotemba Premium Outlets at around 1 pm and the traffic was a nightmare. We walked the last 1 km which was a great suggestion by our driver who spent the next 1 hour getting through the traffic and parking the car. There was great bargain on designer labels such as Prada and Gucci (approx 40% off retail) and service was excellent. Discount of brands such as Nike, Lacoste, etc., wasn’t that impressive however (approx 20%).

We went to this outlet from Kawaguchiko by bus. It took over an hour and we changed to free shuttle from Gotemba Station. There were clear signs at the station and shuttles leave every 15 minutes. It’s a great outlet with lots of high end stores - Burberry, Gucci, Prada, Tag Heuer, etc. It also has Sanrio store and Pokémon store. The stores offer good discounts with tax free purchases so it’s great. We caught a bus back to Tokyo at night. It is around 1 hour 45 min to Tokyo by bus. The outlet has a great view of Mt Fuji.

The outlets, what a...
Here in gotemba, you find a tourist attraction, really attractive for a certain sector of tourists, who like the emotions based on tickets...
I tell you the story, we traveled to Japan as a couple, a year ago, and determined to leave the traditional cities, looking for a place to see Mount Fuji up close, we found this city, which we had left on the way, on the route, without deviating too much, with a hotel that we found suitable and decided to stay for the photo.
Once we arrived in the city and looking for what to do as we would stay two nights here, we discovered that there was a premium mall and outlet.... Once I review the details on the internet, I realize that it has a couple of stores that I would be surprised to see, even if it was for the anecdote, I say, I have entered luxury stores on several occasions, and in several places, but there were stores that I had never seen and had to proceed to know.
First of all, there is no loss, the gotemba train system, has a bus that goes around the mall, free, if I remember correctly, heading to the mall every 15 or 20 minutes, so getting there is no problem. Once you arrive you will bump into the approximate level of shops, if I remember correctly, just getting off the bus, you will bump into the first selection, which includes kate spade, hag tahuer, Diesel and others. As you go along you realize that it is divided by sections, a lower one, where you find shops like the ones I tell you, but not limited to them, there are fendi, Christian loubutine, Loewe, Burberry, Balenciaga, and many that I did not even know... and a high section with several floors that go into a mountain---which has many more shops, with the most varied arrangement possible, things to camp, for school, clothes, novelties, a food area that is also varied and looks appetizing, chocolate shops like lyndtt, which are very good, and a beautiful view of Mount Fuji that was ultimately the purpose of this stop.
You find a gem, with multiple stores, and if you start looking for videos, you will notice that there is an endless amount of information and good reviews about it, a matter of taste, to me in particular I found a mall super huge, varied, and precisely tucked into a mountain and surrounded by river and nature, if you ask me, nomas around, for the views and for the atmosphere, the matter is already worth it!

The customer service of the Chinese female staff at HUGO BOSS is terrible. I had a problem with the payment, but she completely ignored the customer, interrupted me when someone was talking, and glared at me. She is not good at speaking, so I have a hard time understanding why they hired her. I wish they would be more careful about hiring her, as it will only greatly damage the brand image. It's just a loss.

I stopped by on a family trip. My main purpose was to eat a hamburger at the popular "Sawayaka" on a Saturday during the sale, so I managed to get there before opening time and managed to get a reservation for around 2pm. First, I got some takoyaki to eat at the food court and walked around, but the site is so large that combined with the heat, I quickly lost my energy, and I ended up spending most of the time just cooling off. I was able to buy the jewelry I was looking for and enjoy the hamburger at "Sawayaka", so I accomplished my intended purpose, but I realized that if you really want to enjoy shopping, it's essential to check beforehand.
