I just love this place. One of my fave places to visit. Old ruins bit with huge plans to restore. Fantastic views with so much to explore.

No picnic tables but benches to sit on& lots of grass for blankets. Also on top terrace a lovely restored victorian gazebo that is a great place to picnic - awesome view & out of the wind :)

I believe private tours are available in addition to open days. There is a Gwrych Trust website with more info. However all charges are very modest and all the money goes into the restoration.
