Walked the length of short beach in quiet bay.
Cute carved-out Rockpool in middle of bay makes for interest.
Unlike many of NSW, not built for lap swimming, more for wading and kid play.
A pretty and calming area of the Prom Coast.
Coffee van at adjacent SLSC wished for.

Fantastic swimming and amazing snorkelling at Bay Beach. Huge variety of fish and some very large rays gliding by. The water ledge falls off a cliff and gets very deep beyond the rock pools. There is a small rip from time to time, so check the conditions. Swim parallel to the beach toward the rocks if the current gets too strong.

This quiet little beach is a perfect mix of safe swimming, rocks to scramble on, fly a kite, skim a ball, fish, paddle board or snorkel. A bay beach that is patrolled by the SLC during peak times is the perfect destination. Only 90 mins from Melbourne and not well known this place is magic. Once you find it you will come back again and again.

A great little beach, patrolled in summer. Perfect for families, great for swimming and very safe. Further along the beach is the surf beach with some beautiful rock pools. Great for exploring and long walks in the morning. Truly a beautiful area and not too far from Melbourne

The views and little walks off the beach Road between Cape Paterson and inverloch were amazing. So much to explore. The rock pools were fantastic and can’t wait to return to this fabulous sandy beach in the summer.

This beach really appealed to me. There are amenities near by. I parked next to the Wonthaggi Surf Life Saving Club. There is a small playground for children here, toilets and of course the club. The beach is quite easy to walk to...and is different to other beaches I had been to during the day in that area. The Surf Life Saving Club has been in this area for longer than the nearby Cape Paterson one.
It looks like there is a toddler pool on the beach... I am unsure if that has been done purposely. It is most certainly man made, but it's intent is a little unclear to me.
There are rock pools everywhere so it's a photographer's delight. There were people fishing from the rocks, children playing in the rock pools, dogs following their owners as they barked delightedly along... it was an absolutely amazing beach to visit.

Great beach for swimming, diving, kayaking, etc. Patrolled during the summer months, lots of areas to discover, plus walks along the beaches. Spectacular views.

Visited on Sunday 25th February. My last visit here was about 20 years ago and the beach was as I remembered it. It is a great family beach enjoyed by many people who live here or come here each summer on holidays.

Went diving of the beach. Lots of plants and fish to look at in the water and some old rail tracks from many years ago. Lots to look at and rock pools to look in. Very nice beach to spend the day.
