Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This place is a disgrace. The whole thing is fake and a total scam. AVOID. Shameless tour guides and drivers are given commission to take you here and extort tourists. The products are stupidly expensive and FAKE.

Avoid this place!
Our tour guide kept suggesting we go here, and we trusted him so took his word for it. It's now obvious he was being given a cash commission to bring us here. We didn't know the name of it so couldn't check it out online.
After a quick tour around the plants and gardens, you see the civet cats in cages, not well kept, in cruel standards.
You see a man grinding and roasting coffee, but there's no way it's real as one guy on his own could not produce the amount they are supposedly producing.
You're then offered free samples of a number of coffees. These we enjoyable, but a scam to get you into the gift shop.
In the gift shop you are ushered round and encouraged to buy. There are no prices on anything, and at the till we were shocked to find the 6x packs of coffee & tea we had picked up would cost us £100/$120 USD?!? We were told it was ground coffee, and at home on opening it we discvoered it was infact weak instant coffee mixed with sugar and milk powders. Same for the tea - made of powder and sweeteners. Totally unenjoyable and embarrassed that we bought this for family as a gift from Bali.

It wasn't my choice to go here. I was being driven from Ubud to a villa in Lovina and our driver basically forced us to stop here. As a lifelong animal advocate I was horrified to see these poor civet cats kept in battery cages without water, food or any form of enrichment. Something needs to be done about this

Avoid this place. It’s nothing more than an organised scam and your tourist guide will undoubtedly have been given a “bung” (cash bounty) to bring you to it. You got shown a few coffee trees, three civets in a cage and a man roasting a handful of beans in a wok. The “plantation guide” brings you a tray of samples that taste great, then you get marched to a small shop where she pressures you to buy, buy and buy. The “guide” holds a basket for you and keeps pushing you to take more from the shelves. She tells you it’s ground coffee but it’s a lie. All the coffee is instant with a large percentage of artificial creamer and sweetener. At a hugely inflated price - a very expensive visit. Of course you have no WiFi so you can’t check it but I’m telling you now. AVOID THIS PLACE and all the others like it.

SCAMMERS. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. They give you to try some samples of different coffee and tea after they shows you around the plantation and then they take you around the shop to persuade you to buy coffee. We purchased few packs of different coffee which taste way different than the samples they gave us. We just realised that they scammed us and we’ve being sold instant coffee. Also they had 2 animals in the cage which is impossible to produce that much coffee. Is all for trick you into buying cheap unreal coffee. They don’t produce anything there. Before to visit places like that make sure you do your research.

Pure rip-off - I bought two packs of coffee for EUR 16, supposedly there are 250 g of coffee in each bag, but in fact there are only 200g inside and the whole thing is a coffee-milk powder mixture, so maybe 100g of coffee for EUR 7 is effective - a proud price. I think that's a joke!
