Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a real hidden gem and I’m so surprised more people don’t talk about it! The Bedugul Hotel is a highly recommended trip for anyone interested in extremely beautiful buildings and extremely eerie vibes. The feeling walking around this enormous abandoned hotel is that you are certainly not alone; from the peeling ceilings, crumbling walls and dark corners and corridors, the atmosphere is honestly unmatched. The moment you make your stop outside the location, you’ll see the once magnificent building shrouded in lush nature and surrounded by unbelievable views. The entrance hall, guest rooms and rooftop terrace all lie empty and mysterious, but that doesn’t shake the unsettling sense that there are eyes on you all the while. I can promise that from the beginning to the end of your visit, you will be filled with a sense of both wonder and unease.

Have waited several years to make the journey here and this derelict hotel must have been glorious in its day even though no one ever stayed here. Locals have cleaned the place up a bit, which makes it loose its caricature a bit and now charge $3 to get past their gate, still glad I had the opportunity to see it. Loved the dragon staircase to the viewing area above the hotel to see the valley below. Well worth the visit.

Have to pay about 10,000rp per person to get in but well worth. Looks awesome, bit slippery in some bits and roof caving in some areas so be careful but definitely worth the visit!

Loved this part of my trip. so amazing to walk through what would have been an amazing hotel. its actually quite sad to think of the potential. Nature will reclaim this one day and it is just a wonderful day trip.

This abandoned hotel in Bedugul is said to be haunted.
Has a very interesting story behind it involving politics gambling corruption..Google it for more information.
Sadly the hotel is falling apart and soon to be declared dangerous to enter so go have a look soon.
Everything about it is huge the gardens the rooms all supersized.
Sadly graffiti is now all over the walls and on beautiful marble work and tiles.
Definitely worth a visit.
Entry is $2

I pass by this abandoned hotel very often and stopped by one time. It was not recommended at all unless one is looking for spooky places. It is completely abandoned and broken. Not recommended as it may not be safe as well.

Stopped at this cliff top abandoned hotel on our way to Bedugul. It belonged to Tommy Soeharto and was never completed. The forest have started to reclaim the building with creepers in the rooms and hallways. It would have been a grand luxurious hotel with great views. The views are still there but what remains of the building are starting to decay. An interesting visit.
