If you go anywhere in Dumfries & Galloway make sure you don't miss this. Phil and The Gallery at Laurieston are tops. Not going to say anymore than that, the fun part is finding out for yourself.

What a fantastic warm welcome we got from Phil at the Gallery. My friends and I spent 2 hours there, enjoying the artwork and pottery, enjoying the chat and the company and the teas, coffee and cake were outstanding. We left happy, with a few precious purchases and will definitely return!

Having followed on social media for a while I finally visited this super gallery & cafe. It is a creative haven with art of many genres. The place is light and bright, welcoming and comfortable. Phil is an excellent host and even managed to engage my teenage daughter in conversation (I was super impressed). The coffee was excellent with refills on offer. The cheese scone with ginger preserve was fresh and delicious and I’ve no idea quite how my daughter finished her huge slice of carrot cake! Thank you Phil, we will be back.

This little gallery is such a beautiful place. We were met by the owner Phil who is an absolute ball of energy and such an amazing bloke. He was very knowledgeable and attentive and clearly loves what he does. He recommended the el jaguar coffee (which was amazing) and the art is superb.

Thank you so much Phil, see you again soon.

Heartfelt creativity and atmosphere. This gallery was such a gem of a discovery. The depth and warmth of the welcome, the artwork, and of course coffee, tea and cake - all came together beautifully to celebrate the simplicity and purity of a wonderful place to visit. Phil was so kind in his welcoming to all the different people that visited while we were there. Generous in hospitality and local information, while holding a range of artworks which reflected local joy, pride and craftsmanship. We were on our last couple of day’s holidays before catching the ferry, and this unexpected discovery was such a highlight. Please do take time to sit enjoy a cuppa and soak in the paintings, photography, ceramics, jewellery and woodwork that this gallery contains. Year round opening, parking and comfortable seating, this was such a heartwarming experience.

Phil has created a wonderful little spot here. I can recommend stopping, sampling some home baking, and taking in the sight of locally inspired paint works, pottery, jewellery, glass works and whatever else he may have on show. Perhaps even buy something! Why not?
Check the opening times before you go, as Phil isn't open every day! He's a photographer and needs time to Focus on that too you see 😉!
I witnessed his son making him a mean toastie, so hold that thought: maybe one day there'll be a full on tea room here 😁 That what I'm hoping for anyway so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a next time I may visit Dumfries & Galloway 🤞

What's not to like...fabulous setting , (most of D+G is fabulous!) , gorgeous art work ,not just Phil's photographs, great coffee! All of these and the MOST exuberant "host". Totally agree with another reviewer, "don't drive past you will miss a gem". We will certainly not bypass this lovely place again!
