Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We drove to the castle after visiting the town of Telc, but got a little lost because the GPS in the car did not take road construction into consideration. We arrived too late to enter the castle, but managed to climb up the hill and were rewarded by the beautiful views of the country side. Understandably, we were the only visitors and it felt good having the whole place around the castle to ourselves. We unwrapped our picnic basket, took loads of pictures and not all was lost after all.

This state castle in Lipnice nad Sázavou is beautiful and large. It looks like a castle town just like I mentioned when describing the castle in Trenčín.
The town of Lipnice is connected with J.Hašek-the author of the book "The Fate of Good Soldier Švejk".

Slowly but surely being renovated. Still away to go but very hard something new is being opened or added. The inside is pretty Spartan but it's more of a cultural centre. Exhibits are a bit limited. It can be cloeed for filming. Open April to October.

Really well preserved and partially renovated castle ruin, with many interesting features and great views of the surrounding Vysočina (Highlands) region. We really enjoyed climbing up the towers and exploring the vast cellar. There is also a room dedicated to Jaroslav Hašek, the infamous author of the famous Czech novel The Good Soldier Švejk. His letters and drawings and those of his close friend and drinking buddy) are prominently displayed. There is also a “guided tour” every hour on the hour, which consists of 15-20 minutes of historical background and info about the caste. When in Lipnice visit also the National Monument of Eavesdropping, a walking trail between several sculptures relief carved into rocks.

I am regular visitor of this castle - several times per year. Climbing up the hill to the castle is very nice (but little bit hard) trip. The prize for the visitor can be interesting guided tour, or just a visit of the courtyard of the castle. You can see deep water well in the rocks or climb on the rest of the towers and have beautiful view to the landscape. Price for the tickets are acceptable, nice guides, romantic place to visit.

This castle is partially in ruin but mostly in great shape. My family enjoyed walking all over it! It has more big open rooms than I have seen in other castles and it had a nice feeling to it. Very unique and easy to get to.
