William had some talent for what you will see here, amazing day out rain or shine. The art work is jaw dropping, the detail in every piece is amazing. In all truth no words can describe what this man did, you will have to see it for yourself. Wonderful forest in the area, I still can't get over how high... More

Many hand made sculptures of Aboriginals and Australian wildlife, embedded within a beautiful rain forest. Very tranquil and beautiful location!

Great place to visit for a peace of local history and one mans balance with nature and indigenous people. Great carvings and interesting story of William Rickett.

A great way to enjoy beautiful art in the outdoors in the mostly tranquil William Ricketts Sanctuary. Made the point to visit here on a day trip to Dandenong Ranges, and was very pleased. The sculptures are beautiful from a very talented sculptor, and it was interested to know of his history. The meandering paths make it interesting to discover... More

There are 92 sculplutres from the Master artist, philisopher and great human being - Mr William Ricketts. The thought provoking scultures, the videos make this an amazing and must visit place in Dandenong. Young kids may not like it though. We spent about an hour and it was worth a visit.

William Ricketts Sanctuary was an hour of my day that I would relive again. Not just for Mr Ricketts talents and works of art, but for the serenity of the walk through the rainforest. I'm not big on the arts, but todays adventure was one that I will never forget and the skills of that man should be more prominent... More

I'd like to return one day and take my time to absorb the peaceful surrounds. When we visited, there were a lot of people who were not really interested and were rushing around making a lot of noise.

We visited here by accident on Christmas Eve. The Dandenong visitor centre was shut and as we passed this place decided to turn around and get some bearings on our location. What we found was inspiring. The workmanship on the sculptures and stonework was unbelievable. You only need to spend 30 minutes visiting but you will not regret it, especially... More

I've seen this sanctuary featured on tourism shows and feel so lucky to have been able to visit in person. The park itself was beautiful, cool and green with lots of trees and ferns. There's not a lot of ground to cover to see all the sculptures (but there were longer bushwalking trails too) and there is a hut were... More
