- Áine95 contributionsAg Stefanos lovely for a weeks break.Last minute decision to find some winter sun. Found a great deal with TuI. It was the last week of the season. Our hotel Little Prince in Agios Stefanos was great, not fancy but had everything we needed. It was clean, the room was big, clean and had a balcony overlooking the pool. The shower was clean & powerful. Restaurant served reasonably priced good food (wouldn't recommend the lamb in blue cheese though. Humous was amazing also the fresh fish & sizzling dishes. Only disappoint was lack of wine choices - not fan of Greek wines. Beautiful unspoilt beach with few bars/restaurants/loungers/umbrellas. Lovely walks, up steep hills to fantastic views & fabulous Restaurant on the hill top. Next town brews its own beer & has lovely tavernas all offering a host of traditional meals. We took a coach tour (10hrs) around the north of the island & to Corfu town. We seen some spectacular sights enroute including a short boat trip to the caves. Points to consider: 2½ hr from airport to Agios Stefanos because Tui arranged a large coach instead of mini busses so there was lots of drop offs & pickups. Corfu town good for a day visit especially the old Town. Sidari was 15min drive from Ag Stefanos which was more touristy & lively - good for a visit. Lots of walking which we enjoy so bring trainers. Avoid Barras Restaurant in Ag Stefanos - service & food not good.Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 21 October 2023
- Keith CrozierForth, United Kingdom51 contributionsAuthentic, beautiful Taverna on the water in San Stefanos.Fagopoteion Restaurant is a little gem with fresh authentic and fantastic Greek food, with a location that’s straight out of Mama Mia. We sailed up the coast and drove into the gorgeous little cove where the owner waved us in to the little jetty and we moored the boat and walked along the wooden pier and sat right next to the water. Absolutely stunning location. The owner welcomed us and we ordered food I had swordfish and my wife had the beef patitsada, while this was being freshly prepared we had home made tzatziki and crusty bread with a Greek salad and we have never had tzatziki this good, anywhere and his homemade Feta cheese was lovely and creamy in the salad, delicious. The swordfish nearly filled my plate and the beef in the patitsada, melted in your mouth it was so tender. The food was amazing and with a couple of local beers to wash it down it was a fantastic meal in the sun, very reasonably priced, in a setting so beautiful it looks like we were photoshopped onto a background. Stunning and highly recommended.Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 24 October 2023

Yesterday and today they started clearing it, it looks so much better. Two big trucks and a JCB removed tons of the stuff and it looks amazing. Great to swim in the sea and warmer than the poolVisited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 14 May 2024

- Carrie HCanton of Zurich, Switzerland17 contributionsGorgeous, clean, sandy beach with amazing sunsetsThis is our favorite beach on Corfu. We were able to find a parking spot near the Athina Hotel there, which actually allows people to swim in their pool for a fee. After that, we headed down the steps to the Agios Stefania Beach. It is a gorgeous, long sandy beach that is very clean and has stunning views of the sunsets over the ocean. It was very windy while we were there, but my husband and son had fun playing in the waves. The water is shallow for a long way out, so it's good for kids. We were happy to find waves there as the other beaches we had visited were very calm with no waves. It was also neat to watch the windsurfers on this beach. I think you can rent them there. The only downside to this beach is that it was an hour of very winding, narrow roads for us to get there. I do suggest leaving early if you have a long drive home because those roads were a bit scary in the dark. The beach is located in a very nice touristy area that seems to attract a lot of British families. There are also many good restaurants to choose from just a short stroll from the beach. If we ever came back to Corfu, I think I would choose to get a hotel in this area because of that gorgeous beach and just the nice vibe in that area in general.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 27 July 2024
- George H1 contributionWeek awayLovely place for a peaceful holiday. Plenty of restaurants to visit and all were pretty good. A few bars with live music and a good atmosphere. Beach was fine and would definitely recommend a visit. Appeared from conversations we had we were the only couple not to have visited San Stefanos previously.Visited July 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 31 July 2024
- flyingrabbit196343 contributionsBeautiful, long, and sandy beachLovely, long golden sands beach. We parked at Havana Bar and walked down to the beach. We used their sunbeds - just 8 Euros for two beds and umbrella. Sea is a shallow walk in, so great if you have kids and lots of sand for sand castles! We were a couple and loved the laid-back atmosphere. We ate and got drinks from the Havana bar. Sea was quite wavy the ay We went. Not suitable for snorkling, but fun walking in the shallows or jumping and bouncing over th3 waves.Visited August 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 21 August 2024
- NathanBamNewton Abbot, United Kingdom66 contributionsSuper beach !Took a drive from Sidari and stumbled on this beach, WOW ! We are considering staying in this area next time, so much cleaner and calmer than Sidari, the beach restaurants food blows other places out the water and the price is right ! There are showers and changing rooms along with parking for your car ! The sea is very clear and unusual with its initial drop followed by a very shallow stretch ! Would highly recommend !Visited September 2024Travelled with familyWritten 8 September 2024
- Steve BuckleyLondon, United Kingdom8,975 contributionsChangeable ConditionsMy wife and myself are currently visiting Corfu (staying at the delightful Pictures Suites which overlooks Agios Stefanos Beach) and - whilst we have been here many times before - this is our first Sept/Oct visit. As such, it is interesting to see how conditions on Agios Stefanos Beach change almost on a daily basis. For example, we are currently experiencing the Mistral Wind (something that blows from Southern France with sustained 30 mph winds) which lasts 2-3 days and prevents many people from going onto the beach at all! Also interesting is the amount of seaweed that can be washed onto the shore on a daily basis - necessitating early removal (with limited success!) by the Municipal workers! All in all, Agios Stefanos remains one of my favourite local beaches but it is far more user-friendly in the Summer months!!Visited September 2024Travelled with familyWritten 30 September 2024

What a gorgeous beach this is!
You can drive and park right best you this sandy beach. Clear turquoise water and gentle waves.
If you take a set of two sunbeds and a parasol for €8, you get €2 back on your bar purchases and the use of a massive pool ( Athens hotel) overlooking the beach. Magical and highly recommended!

Lovely long clean beach , with good excellent beach bars close by. The sand was clean , sunbeds plentiful , comfortable and quite cheap at 7.50 - 8 euro for the day , when compared to other destinations . The sea was crystal clear and child friendly being shallow for some distance.
Each time we visited which was almost daily there was a fresh breeze which was most welcome given the temperatures experienced
All in all well worth a visit..

Lovely soft sand, shallow bed and can walk out into the sea quite far without taking your feet off the floor. The watersports are cheaper than others in the area and don't overpower the beach or the peace and quiet. Plenty of sunbeds from restaurants and no pushy sales persons.

It’s not very well signposted so check your map constantly! They are charging for su beds now, but there’s loads of space to set up your own camp. Jetski was too expensive for me at 45euro for 20 mins. Sun beds range from 6 euro to 7.5 euros dependant on where you are. Nice restaurants on the front but we went to Arillas for lunch (also really nice beach). Both Sandy and shallow.

Loved the beach, it’s a super long beach therefore there’s plenty of space to have your own space without being too close to strangers. If you keep walking to the right (north side) and just keep on walking and passing some rocks etc you get to the nudist part where you can enjoy the beach nude and there’s plenty of clay to give yourself a quick treatment.
Very clear water and very picturesque, highly recommend, especially to naturists.

Good sandy beach with shallow waters ideal for the not too confident swimmer. Plenty of sunbeds though you will have to pay for the majority of them, backed by 4 or more beach bars/taverna's. Locals and tourists can park on the beach for ease of access though I personally could of had issues with some quad bike customers driving their hired bikes all over the beach, supposedly not allowed. Due to the time of year of our visit September I have never experienced so many wasps, an absolute pest, be aware, take the bite/sting anointment.

Perhaps, in my opinion, the most beautiful and authentic part of the island. Here it is good and out of the island traffic gripping Corfu. We were in October and therefore we could taste that solitary taste that only the late seasons can give. In any case, if I were to return I would land as a sedentary here where housing and prices are the most honest. Sunbeds and deckchairs on the beach with drink.

at least an hour from Corfu town, as everyone has said it is on the other side of the island and it is not that small

How much are two beach chairs and an umbrella to hire for the day?
Written 6 June 2019
I paid 5 euros for umbrella and 2 beds. Should have been more but we were the only ones there. They were free outside the bars tho.just buy drinks.

Only around the old harbour area we seen people snorkelling around that area which is a very pleasant walk away unless you are happy to swim from the main beach area.

I heard that you can rent water bike there, what is the cost of this?
