We forewent breakfast and took a taxi from our fairly remote but very good Keri Village hotel to join this tour but I am so glad we did, an excellent decision. It certainly takes you off the beaten track to some interesting villages and locations but the highlight is the extra unusual and interesting experiences, such as the harmonica player under the big old olive tree and the supermarket chickens - I shall not spoil by saying more. The village for the morning coffee stop is delightful, home made cake by the mother and the son proudly shows you around the small museum relating to his family's history. The tour includes the famous Shipwreck View but we were there before the onslaught of the tourist coaches so I was happy and my wife also with her photos. The lunch stop is at a busy but well run Taverna with again splendid views and some nice shady trees to sit under whilst dining and later listen and join in with the singing and guitar playing. The tour ends with a visit to the Olive Press Museum comprising a short tour and opportunity to buy a variety of products. The presses actually roll only for some 5 months in the Winter but the chappie, probably Dennis, explains what happens and the tie up with the olive tree farmers. We had I think a brand new Mercedes midibus for our tour, air conditioned, and well to time at our pick up. Last but not least our guide was Jackie, seemingly also the tour company owner, who is an historian, entertainer, and humorous guide which sets this tour apart. If you want to know much more about the island and its history then this is the tour to take and certainly not overpriced. Just leave the poolside sun loungers and book!…

Booked four tours with this company : Turtle Tour, Back to the Roots and Kefalonia - would have done Shipwreck but date didn't work in ! Anyway, we thoroughly enjoyed all three, great value for money, everything went according to plan and would highly recommend, especially Kefalonia, this was an amazing day. Mia was our tour guide for Turtle Tour and Kefalonia and she was fab. Apologies, can't remember the name of the guy for the Back to the Roots but he too was great. We also loved the lady with whom we booked the tours - she was so funny and full of information - based next to Contessina Hotel in Tsivili - real asset to the company. Go book and have fun !…

Many thanks to Jackie and team for such a fabulous day out on the Back To Roots trip. Like the finest baked Moussaka every ingredient was top quality. This is a really unique tour of Zante, as you travel around the many stops Jackie's narrative is amazing. She covers everything from mythology, the island's history and religious ideologies to the Covid experience and it's major industries. It's a fascinating insight to the island and it's quite emotional in parts. An entertaining tour delivered with passion, education and great humour and we finally got our crocheted chickens!! Highly recommended …

Visited zante for 3 nights for our 30th wedding anniversary. Was recommended Nefis Travel by a friend and we were not disappointed. We've never visited Greece before but we feel like we had a week there. Booked the back to roots tour which took us to so many beautiful places and showed us the real Greece. Jackie and her team are wonderful hosts and so vibrant and fun while giving you an amazing insight into Greek life. We also had a lovely song sang to us for our anniversary and were presented with a lovely bottle of wine, such a nice touch. Definitely will take another trip when we return…
