About
Spiaggia Fontane Bianche gets its name from the numerous freshwater springs that lie on the seabed, and is loved for its clear and shallow waters—great for kids to wade in. You can rent a beach chair and umbrella, or lie anywhere on the warm white sand along the free sections of the beach. A stay at the waterfront hotels and resorts will grant you private access to some sections of the beach. Beyond the beach clubs and seafront restaurants, the neighborhood itself is pretty quiet and peaceful. Walk along the rocky shore along the west end of the beach toward the stunning Punta del Cane. – Tripadvisor

Beaches are wonderful. The bakery Tortuga has the best cappuccino and ham breakfast croissant make over there bi the Valeria the owner. The Vela coffee shop Restaurant attendance by the owners Santos also really recommend. Siracusa is very close for dinner and museums etc.In Siracusa I recommend the Restaurant his owner is Antonio Dave.

Visited in June for a long weekend, we were "guests" of the Lido Fontane Bianche of the same name.
Once you arrive, you can park in the parking area (unguarded) but still at the price of €5 for the whole day.
However, once we arrived at the Lido, we had a great time. It is also possible to go to the free beach, however we choose a more comfortable stay.
The sea is pristine and wonderful, the seabed clear and beautiful.
A place certainly worthy of note where we suggest staying for a whole day of relaxation.

Unfortunately a disappointment. Maybe the period, the bad weather that lasted until June and then the very high temperatures, I don't know, the fact is that the sea was not at all what you see in many photos. Full of algae and at a certain time the color of the water is brown, which I have never seen even on the Romagna Riviera. The beaches are small, especially the free ones, and the best sections are occupied by private beaches that have exaggerated prices. The location is ugly, it offers absolutely nothing. It's also impossible to take a walk because there isn't even a decent sidewalk. To spend an evening you have to move to nearby Avola or even further away to Syracuse, Marzamemi etc.. I personally moved to the much more beautiful nearby beaches after the first day. Sin.

Large bay with wide sandy beach separated into paid club areas and free public ones. Brilliant color water. Fully developed, all amenities, a couple of parking lots on the nearest parallel street.

Unimaginable disappointment. Chosen as one of the stops on my tour of the island, I believed it would be one of the cornerstones of my entire holiday. However, the opinion is decidedly negative. The sea is fantastic. It is the true wealth of Sicily but the beach is overrated. A beautiful cove and nothing more. The beach managers act as very threatening 007s if you try to pass through their entrances: but the sea is still accessible from the free beach. Clear in the morning, decidedly cloudy in the evening. Just off the beach you find only desolation and dirt. A couple of clubs and nothing more. Many buildings in ruins and some houses that resist general decay. Bad streets, rubbish everywhere. Connections from the motorway that seem like mule tracks: narrow and full of potholes. Dirt everywhere. It would be good as a location for a post-apocalyptic film.

Massive, with almost no public space, expensive private space, the water leaves you smelling like shellfish in your swimsuit.
Paid parking, 5 euros, small.
It has a part that is shown in the photo with pedal sade bar.
Very calm waters that almost do not cover; no utilities to change or go to the toilet.

I read several reviews that were leading me astray.

Take anyone who writes all negative things with a grain of salt because that's not the case.

We took an umbrella at the SAYONARA beach and had a great time.

It's true that the prices for umbrellas in high season (e.g. mid-August week) are around €40 for an umbrella and two sunbeds regardless of the arrival time (we arrived almost at 3pm but half a day is never included). )

For the rest, wonderful, crystal clear sea, light sandy beach

More than good services

Over 60% of the beach is privatized and the prices of the beaches range from 35 to 60 euros (therefore mind-boggling prices). The free beach (and not only that) is full of algae and overcrowded. In the afternoon the water gets dirty. The whole area is abandoned to itself. Shameful level of filth after mid-August. What does the Municipality do?! Nothing. Definitely a place to avoid in August.

The only consolation is the beauty of the water which, however, is only perceivable if you move away from the shore, especially in the afternoon due to the crowding and algae on the shore.
Very narrow strip of beach contaminated by many beaches that occupy every inch of beach. Horrible! Sunbeds one above the other. Zero living space. If you come alone you still have to pay 35 euros for the place which includes two sunbeds and an umbrella. No other alternatives! Just asking for a sunbed like in any other structure in Italy is impossible! Absurd.
Coming from Sampieri I have to say that FB doesn't hold a candle to the comparison both in terms of the much larger and more livable free beach, and in terms of the beaches that don't invade the entire bathing area, and in terms of welcoming tourists! There you put down your towel on the free beach and hear only the sound of the sea and the wind
Maybe my expectations were too high and I was somewhat disappointed.
Stage completed and we move on!

What a disappointment!
If this is the most beautiful beach in Syracuse Sicilians should love the French Atlantic beaches
Paid parking 5 euros even at 5pm and the public beach is tiny and crowded...on the other hand private beaches with exorbitant prices are legion
No interest go your way
