Gone Surfing is a windsurfing center at Crete island on Kouremenos beach, close to Palekastro village. Here you can rent top windsurfing equipment and learn to windsurf safely by our certified instructors. Kouremenos is well known as one the most wind certain beaches in the world during the summer months.

Great surf rental center. Nice owners, good equipment, relaxed atmosphere. They keep an eye on you and have a rescue boat ready, so you feel safe on the water. Not really a spot for beginners though, it gets deep very soon and wind can be strong and gusty.

Very good set up, very nice place to WS, the staff are welcoming and very knowledgeable regarding the equipment and conditions. The rental costs, I fond them very reasonable, the equipment was in good condition, and plenty to chose from, in fact you could swap and change as much as you wanted.
All in all i had a very good experience, 10 out of 10 from me.

We just spent our holidays there once again and we will definitely go back there sometime. It is an amazing place, untouched by the big tourist industry, no big hotels, numbers of sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach.. The real Crete.
Maria and Christos create a great atmosphere, they make you feel like among best friends. The base is very well equipped, and staff is very helpful. See you again.

Maria and Christos are the best! They are extremely friendly and kind people. They will teach you how to windsurf/foil in the shortest time possible. They have the best gear on the market, everything is brand new every season. Maria also has the nicest surf shop with small and hand made goods. They also have their own tshirt designs that make you laugh. They really put their hearts into the school!

We much enjoyed windsurfing in Palekastro. The equipment is the latest you can find. Great advices given to windsurf on this new spot; we were able to change whenever we wanted the sail's size, the board. Each time welcomed by great smiles and jokes from Cristo and Maria.
And there was always someone watching the spot. I felt super safe.
The conditions are not super easy for us intermediates, quite gusty, but we could learn much through it!

Super super amazing. Last time I windsurfed was 30 years ago. Andres, Cristo and Maria picked me from as a beginner. Their calmness, skill and big smiles got me doing things on a surf board that I never expected and kept on helping me advance.

We spent there the last week of August 2020. It was windy every day :). Gone Surfing Crete is great windsurfing center. Friendly, helpful and always smiling staff. They are crazy about windsurfing. I hope we will meet again.

It all depends on what type of equipment you are looking for, how long you want to sail for, if you want just to rent or also some lessons… and the wind condition. You may want to reach directly to Gone Surfing - the website and contacts are easy to find.

Hallo Bernhard,
SUPs gibt es mehrere, die genaue Anzahl habe ich nicht mehr im Kopf, aber es waren mal vier Leute gleichzeitig draußen, daher mindestens vier Bretter. Die Boards waren, wie auch die Surfboards, von Fanatic (ich glaube Ray Air, Ripper Air) . Ich hoffe, das hilft weiter.

the centre will be open 1st of May, when exactly in April you are planing on coming?
The wind on April is not like the typical NW Meltmemi in the summer but sometimes is South which makes it tricky to windsurf.
